OT: Kobe Bryant

Greatest last game in history. I do not care he shot 50 times. He scored 60 points. 17 straight to make the Lakers come back and win it. Un fucking real. He willed his team to a win one last time. Also, his hate commercial is amazing.

Glad I chose this over Warriors. Lakers were down 10 with like 2 mins left. Hopefully LeBron was taking notes.

It's easy to win when the refs swallow their whistle every time the Lakers commit a foul on the defensive end. And when they don't call at least two offensive fouls and a travel (all by Kobe) and count what should've been a two-point field goal (by Kobe) as a three. Great performance by Kobe though. It's just stupid how it happened.

lol I mean it's not like it mattered who won the game or anything. Pretty much Kobe vs the Jazz for 98% of the game. Fun to watch and a very Kobe-like way to go out.

The Kobe as GOAT argument ship has long sailed, let him have this last game. He's retired and going to take up golf. Maybe pose a few more times for GQ in 19th century underpants.

I was getting annoyed in the week leading up to the game constantly hearing about Kobe Kobe Kobe. But after watching the game and seeing the career come to an end, it's really weird. I feel like a part of me retired in a weird way. Kobe has been in the NBA for almost my entire life, and it's not that I was a big fan or anything but damn it makes me feel old now.

Kobe Bryant's fantastic finish, as told on Twitter by his peers

Kobe Bryant put on quite a show in his final game before retirement Wednesday night at Staples Center. Because of the late start time, many of his fellow NBA players were able to catch the action.
They weren't disappointed, as Bryant*put up 60 points to lead the Lakers to a 101-96 comeback victory...

The Hawks game ended just in time for the great finish in the Lakers game.

In all my years watching sports, that was one of the coolest non-Chicago moments I can remember.

Was Kobe a prick when he was younger and even older? Yes! But, show me one true great that wasn't a prick? Jordan-huge prick. Larry Bird- prick. Shaq- prick etc. etc. etc. We live in a different generation now. Kobe is one of the last of a dying breed. Everybody likes each other in the league now. Its different. These guys grew up since they were little playing AAU's and different events like that. They are friends on and off the court. ****, Lebron practiced with D Wade during the season which is insane to me. Its the game we live in.

Kawhi Leonard won his 2nd DPOY award. First non center to repeat since Dennis Rodman.
