Headed to OT; tied 1-1.

USA will have a full power play to start the OT period.

Both goalies have played outstanding.

Shootout time.

Man Will Butcher just saved the game for the Americans there. What a fucking shot block as time expired and the Finns had the open net.

Stupid Americans win in a shootout and act like they just won the gold medal. Grow up.

Canada already up 5-0 halfway through the game. ****, Canada looks good.

They may put up 15 on the Germans tomorrow.

Canada beats Slovakia 8-0 and now leads the group with 3 points and a hefty goal differential advantage.

Sorry gents, been busy the past few days.

Fucking USA hockey makes us coaches do these modules that are like 12 hours long and their due by the 1st of the year so I've trying to tackle those.

So the Hawks have:
USA:
Nick Schmaltz (Forward, UND, 2014 1st Round Pick)
Tyler Motte (Forward, UofMichigan, 2013 4th Round Pick)
John Hayden (Forward, Yale, 2013 3rd Round Pick)
Anthony Louis (Forward, Miami University Ohio, 2013 6th Round Pick)

Sweden:
Robin Norell (Defense, Djurgården, 2013 4th Round Pick)

Hawks don't have any other players representing their nations at the WJC, mainly due to the fact that they have drafted a lot of Americans who have gone the NCAA route the past 2 years and obviously, they didn't get picked for the USA team whether due to age or talent (Hawks have drafted a couple 19 year olds who have since not made the cutoff for birth dates).

Schmaltz is obviously our highest touted prospect in the tournament, but I've been keeping an eye on John Hayden, especially due to his size, physical play and skill.

Fun facts:

Youngest player, and the top prospect for the 2016 draft is Jesse Puljujärvi on Finland (kids a freak of nature, 6'3 and about 200 lbs.)

Single Tournament record for points was set by Peter Forsberg back in 1992-1993 with 31 points (7 goals, 24 assists) in 7 FUCKING GAMES!
