The Bulls are 1 game from clinching, if the Nets lose and Bulls win. 2 wins and 2 losses from bos/cha/brooklyn, according to magic number(which follows to 1 and 1, and 1 and 0 respectively.

Meh, there was one season where the gap was 4 games making it impossible vis the schedule to get eliminated before the NBA confirmed their clinched spot. This year, not so much.

They use magic number. Magic number can be off a lot.

Per team overlap games that play each other in the same hunt / total number games to play Σ games behind

That should be the clinch/eliminated formula, not GB/GP

So let's see if Philly is eliminated. Using the easiest path.
15 games back of #8th seed Miami. 5 teams between them that can overlap games. This means any team that can be within the same number of games that Philly is, within the difference of a perfect storm scenario(one example is Philly wins 15+ games, Miami loses out).

17 games left for Philly. 18 for Miami.

Miami plays one game that has an overlapping game in conflict. So yes, they are technically not eliminated. Magic number is 2.5, real number would be 2 games to eliminate Philly.
Jesus man...I'm just looking at the fucking table on the website.

2015 Playoff Bracket: As of March, 15, 2015 - 14 Games left

Right now the Bulls are looking at another 1st round matchup against Washington, a team that will be looking to kick our ass again. :smh:

Nerds gonna nerd.

Anyways, it's 2015. You would think they did away with magic number. NBA.com uses SAP, which can scale the schedules easily and output the exact numbers. Hell, Lotus 123 could do it.

That first round Heat/Cavs matchup isn't far off.

Not without Bosh. Cavs win that series in six games without Bosh. Also seriously, we need to beat the Raptors here on Friday so we can move ahead of them in the standing or whenever we play them.

I think they might be able to do it in 5 if the Heat don't have Bosh. They'd really need Whiteside to destroy the Cavs' big men to push it beyond that imo, and Whiteside isn't really a scorer. They still don't really have a PG either so Kyrie is likely to run all over them.

pleeeeease no wizards first round. Would honestly rather face raptors or bucks. Bulls do not match up well with the Wizards.

The dream scenario is playing Milwaukee in the first round, Cleveland getting beat up in the first round by a Heat team, and then the Hawks being pushed to the limit by Washington.

My Pacers are slipping... the fairy tale is coming to an end.

Boston is coming out of nowhere. No Sullinger and still are streaking. Isaiah Thomas, Evan Turner, Avery Bradley, Tyler Zeller, and Brandon Bass are all balling.

The Bulls could land any seed other than 4th or 5th and be fine. They should avoid the Wizards at all costs.

I might pick the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th seeds to win those Western Conference 1st round series. *Might*

Thunder will be without Durant the rest of the year. Probably.
