I was about to say, it probably has something to do with your adblock.

I'm usually all over that stuff, but the fact they'd disappear after a day or two was throwing me off. All my setting were the same, but something was kicking in. Gotta Love updates. :nope:

The West is getting more interesting with seeds 3-7 really at play. San Antonio has moved ahead of Dallas for #6 and is a game out of #4. Which could mean San Antonio is posed for a second round matchup against Golden State. Things could get quite interesting in that aspect.

OKC has a 2.5 game lead on the 8th seed. New Orleans, which briefly occupied the 8th spot has fallen with a 3 game losing streak. The Suns are finally winning again, but it may be too late with 10-12 games left for many of these teams.

Winning this game puts us 1.5 games up on them.

The schedule is easy to close out the year, but the Bulls have struggled this year against bad teams, so who the hell knows how that works out for us...

I mean its New York, Milwaukee, Detroit, Cleveland, Orlando, Miami, Philly, Brooklyn, Atlanta. There's only 2 tough teams in there, and one of them will probably be resting every starter (Atlanta) since its the season finale. I just hope the Bulls step it up and not play down to their opponent the rest of the year and close out strong and secure the #3 seed (I doubt the Bulls can move up to #2 at this point).

To me, this could be the most important couple weeks of the season for the Bulls. The Bulls play Toronto tonight which can bring them the 3rd seed. Then, they don't play again until Saturday, against the lowly Knicks.

The Beautiful thing is that the Bulls don't play again until the following Wednesday, against the Bucks, which could give the Bulls a preview of a 1st round matchup. Then we get Detroit on Friday before we get a chance against the Cavs on Sunday.

This next week and a half should give the Bulls a nice restful stretch, to hopefully get healthy, and start to zero in on a playoff rotation, w/o stressing the players out too much. I just hope the Bulls can get in some good practices w/o Thib's drilling them too hard.

I'd like to see the Bulls not only lock up the #3 seed, but I'd like to see them push the Cavs for the #2 seed as well. The Cavs have a pretty easy schedule too, but they still play Mhemphis tonight, and the Heat get another crack at them.

The Bulls could hopefully put themselves into a position to get a big game against the Cavs on that Sunday, and hopefully send a message to the Cavs that it won't be easy in the 2nd round, especially if the Bulls can push for homecourt against them with the 2nd seed.

Memphis will beat Cleveland tonight for us...although like you I doubt we catch them for the 2 seed

i cant see the bulls catching 2nd place at this time of the season vs the cavs, but i'll take 3rd place. Want to avoid the wizards as much as possible. Probably worst match up for Bulls on the East

ehh Cleveland is still the worst matchup for the bulls IMO until we beat a LeBron led team in the playoffs I have to defer to them(him) as our worst matchup

I'd like to see it get interesting, however. If the Griz can beat the Cavs, and the Heat has one more payback game for LJ in them, then that Sunday matchup for the Bulls against the Cavs could get interesting. If the Bulls can't overtake them for the 2nd seed, they could make a statement to the Cavs, imo.

That was true early on after last year, but the Wiz have lost something, imo, and are not as menacing as they once were. Beal is injury prone and just hasn't been the same, and I think the loss of Ariza really hurt them, imo. :yep:

For the Bulls:
(closest teams surrounding them)
The Bulls would win a tiebreaker vs Toronto by virtue of 3-0 head-to-head record. Toronto would finish ahead of Chicago if they won the division and Chicago did not win their division in a tiebreaker. (Basically if the Bulls/Raptors finish with the same record, the Raptors will get 3rd seed based on Cleveland being the #2 seed).
The Cavs hold the tiebreaker vs the Bulls by virtue of a 2-1 head-to-head record.

Bulls put a good foothold on the 3rd seed by sweeping Toronto. However a 1.5 game lead isn't safe, but if they keep playing like they have the past 4 out of 5 games, I don't see holding that being a problem.

Catching Cleveland isn't likely. 3 game lead, 9 games left.. Cleveland would need to go on a 3 game losing streak, lose to us in that streak, and have some of those losses be to divisional opponents (besides us).

As far as our likely 1st round opponent. It's still anyones game. Milwaukee is really who the Bulls want. Lack of stars, can play good D, but have zero offense to keep up with us. We would probably sweep them with flying colors. Miami will be a tough test if they move up a slot. Boston would be another easy first round, but not as easy as Milwaukee. You want a series where Rose can really shake off any final rust, you want the Bulls playing Milwaukee in the first round.

Looking at the bracket, the interesting thing I noted was Toronto's seed. What I found interesting was that Toronto is 3-0 against Washington this season, and 3-1 against Atlanta. Go figure. I guess the Bulls are Toronto's nitemare matchup.

I told myself I wasn't going to look at the seeds this year, but it's looking pretty good to me the way it is now. Toronto hopefully can beat Wash and at least play ATL tough, while hopefully the Heat push the Cavs while we take care of the Bucks. The only thing better would be home court against the Cavs. :dunno:

Eh this team's probably shown it doesn't need home court advantage. The Bucks got a big win over Ind last night to put them 2.5 games over the Heat. I'm hoping it keeps like this.

Toronto and Washington are both two teams that have gone down the dumps since the All-Star Break. The Raptors are suffering a major injury in Lowry and I think that keeps them from advancing if he can't get back on the court.

I certainly agree about the bulls being dangerous in a 7 game series against anybody, but the western matchups have been ruined somewhat by injuries. OKC would of had a shot at GS if Durant wasn't hurt so that series got ruined. Portland/LAC would have been good until the wes Matthews injury. Memphis will crush dallas IMO(especially with the chemistry issues dallas is having). spurs/rockets is probably the best matchup as far as competitiveness goes. but that matchup I feel the spurs win

The West certainly isn't as threatening as it once was. I think GS and San Antonio are the only two teams with a legit chance at this point.

Of course most of those teams would still beat the East teams if they did manage to get by GS or SA to get to the Finals.
