I was saying the exact same thing in the our series to anyone that would listen.
A lot of guys were. I didn't understand why Thibs of all people didn't understand that.

Then for the formers Spurs assistant head coach to not understand that. It made no sense to me.

Hyping up the Warriors all season worked!
Actually surprises me its higher than last years Finals.. but I guess you probably have a lot more people in California caring this year.

The entire state of California is backing the Warriors probably. Way bigger market that SA, as good as they are. And everyone loves to hate Lebron.

Which is why I thought last years might still be higher, given everyone wanted to watch that Heat team lose.

It's quite possible that hate has just carried over to the Cavs since Lebron went and tried (and technically succeeded) to build another superteam.

Another observation. It's stupid how deep Golden State is. Guys like Iggy are at times bit players on the second team. He'd be starting for Chicago. David Lee can't get of the bench in GS but he'd be a top 7 or so rotation player for the Bulls. Shaun Livingston shits all over Aaron Brooks. Etc. Mareese Speights plays about 15 minutes a game for the Bulls he'd be playing Taj minutes.

And you didn't even mention Barbosa and Ezili who also manage to find minutes on this team

If I'm the Cavs I need to make a drastic move to get the series back even.

If I were them I'd start Joe Harris and have him immediately fight Andrew Bogut at the tip off. This would help the Cavs focus in and motivate them to win.

Or just have Dellavedova break someone's ankle again

I have said all season Golden State is one of the deepest teams in history. Its just stupid how they second string would be a pretty decent team on their own.

Irving having season ending surgery on a fractured left knee cap. I knew the second he went down, he was completely done in this series.

I picked Warriors in 5 before the series and I think they sweep it now. Expect to see 100% ISO plays for Lebron, who plays 48 mpg the rest of the series.

They are the Seahawks of the NBA. Their best players all have reasonable contracts for now, and the owner is willing to spend. Thompson, Curry, and Green only accounted for 14 million in salary this past season. Rose was 18 million just by himself. Obviously that will change in a hurry once Klay's new contract kicks in and Green is a free agent after this season.

I'm not even sure how Irving fractured his kneecap on that play. Seemed pretty innocent to me.

His knee was already messed up but it appeared like there might have been knee to knee contact with Thompson as he was going down. Either way, once he limped off the floor, I think the entire Cavs team knew this series was over. They folded like a lawn chair after that.

Great. Now once Golden State wins we get a week of ESPN talking about how lebron doesn't have enough help.
