At the end of the day though, reffing didn't affect the outcome. Steph was historically bad and the Warriors weren't really up to their standard as a whole outside of Klay and they still managed to only lose by 2. Cleveland went out and won the game through sheer force of Lebron's will and the role players stepping up. We kind of figured there'd be a game like this anyway.
I agree with this, I'm just pointing out the lack of complaining from others (not you and Scoot) about officiating when it is not the Bulls. End of the day Curry being shut down by Matthew Payton Delladedova, a missed dunk by Speights, and four* awfully stupid fouls by JR Smith had a much bigger impact.

* I'm pretty 50/50 on the idea of whether or not fouls should be called for the shooter going into the contact like the one where JR eventually fouled out. In one sense, if you make that a no-call you're rewarding the defender for leaving his feet and biting on the pump fake. On the other hand, it just looks fucking silly for the shooter to flail into the body of a defender like that.

I'm genuinely unsure how much of Curry's night was Dellavedova's defense and how much was him just being as cold as absolute zero. Either way, I agree that those events had a much bigger impact than any foul call or non call.

At least it's not as bad as the Reggie Miller leg kick, but I see what you're saying. I lean towards it being a foul because of the defender thing, but there are some situations where the defender manages to get out of the way enough where I wouldn't call it. It's kind of a fine line there though so I doubt I'd please anyone if I were the ref making that call.

I know it's not only me, but I couldn't care less when a call doesn't go LBJ's way. Yes, Iggy clearly hacked LBJ, but as pointed out, he traveled and probably fouled Iggy before he even took the shot. Plus, LBJ gets away with very obvious push-offs multiple times a game... especially in the paint. So, yeah, when LBJ doesn't get a call, I'm not gonna be all up in arms about it.

Also, even though they won last night, I still can't see how the Cavs stand a chance.

Game 1 they had a great game by LBJ/Irving and the Warriors had a cold start... and they lost.

Game 2 LBJ again had a great game while Curry played like dog shit, and they barely win.

So in order for them to win the series, they'll need LBJ to keep up this level of play while also hoping Curry and/or Thompson play like shit. Then again, the Cavs have a lot of X-factors. If J.R. Smith has one of his hot games and hits ten 3's, that could buy the Cavs another win . We'll see though. Exciting series so far.

Pretty much why I put Warriors in 6... I didn't imagine two close games like this though. Cavs will probably get another one when JR Smith goes nuts. But yeah the Warriors talent is so much more superior than Cleveland, I just can't see how they lose. Steph Curry will probably have a going off game as well soon. Curry is probably the only reason the Warriors lost.

Just like JR will probably have a ridiculous game from 3, Steph should have an equally ridiculous game from 3. Speaking of which, we're due for a JR Smith brickfest

While I chalk up a lot of this to just a bad game by Curry... Matty has certainly shown hes a good defensive player
I think it was bad game by Steph mostly as well. But they'll give Delly all the credit.

Delly is also good at breaking people's ankles by diving into them. Generally he likes to dive butt first into people. I've noticed this trend.

I'd have to agree. Most of the shots he missed were open shots he normally hits with ease.

I was shocked to see the terrible shot selection by Curry in the first three quarters.

He´s the best shooter in the game but looking at the shots he took I wasn´t surprised to see him making only 1-10.

He takes bad shots and makes a good chunk of them because he's so good. But this time around, pretty much none of them went in.

It was just a bad night for him. I saw one of the shots and the ball was literally half way in and still rimmed out. All shooters go through this. Unfortunately for him it happened on the biggest stage.

All this to say...he couldn't throw the ball into the ocean. Just one of those nights.

Scott Foster is reffing this game. The home team has lost the last 13 games he's has refereed.

Is he the same asshole that saw Blatt call a TO Cleveland didn't have and didn't give the Cavs a technical?

OK, I tried to watch a bit last night. Couldn't stand more than 5 minutes. The NBA is complete shit now. Let me know when LeBum and all the 3 point jackers are gone, and maybe I'll come back. The league is flat out broken, and it's closer to professional wrestling than ever; they've even got LeBum playing the baby face who becomes a heel who then becomes the hero again. Embarrassing.

Hopefully Curry has a nice bounce back game tonight.

Hopefully.

I'm watching with my friend tonight and the team we root for just about always loses when we watch games together.

(Though this year the Bulls did win Game 2 against Milwaukee).

But from memory our track record is:
-All the bad regular season loses for the Bulls this year
-Game 2 vs Wizards last season
-The infamous Ray Allen make a miracle three Game 6 Spurs vs Heat in 2013
-Game 6 2012 ECF Boston-Miami
---
We did watch the Heat lose the 2011 Finals.. So there is that...
