The Bulls window closed when Rose tore up his knee the first time. Until they move on from Noah and Rose, they will be stuck in no man's land.

I agree with this. It just sucks that we finally had an mvp and his career pretty much ended on noncontact play in garbage time. Damn you thibs.

Stuck resigned with the Pacers 3/21m

this is the worst possible year to try to improve your team with hardly anything to work with...players are getting way overpaid for current standards so it evens out when the cap goes up

the MMLE is practically a veterans minimum

I'd say the MMLE is close to a rookie scale 2nd round pick contract. The MLE is turning into the vet min now.

There's still some decent guards available. Mo Williams, Barbosa, Jason Terry, Ronnie Price, Alexey Shved, Andre Miller, & Will Bynum. I don't believe any of them have committed anywhere next season, though I could be wrong on that. I wouldn't mind any of those guys though my top choice would be Mo Williams. Unfortunately he's getting a lot of interest from many teams and there's even talk he'd could be involved in a sign and trade somewhere. Plus he seems well out of our price range.

Something interesting that is brewing is Jamal Crawford being placed on the trading block as the Clips desperately search for a center to replace DJ. I'd have Noah primed and ready to go, though the salaries don't match so it might not work unless some 3- team deal can be worked out. Taj could potentially work as his $8.5m salary is closer to the $5.7m Crawford is making. If we somehow pulled a deal off for him, I'd be doing back flips but this is likely sadly just a pipe dream.

I don't think that any of those vets who are available will make the impact that we need to push us to the Finals. However, I think Crawford would be interesting. We could use a heat-check guy who can shoot lights out on a good night. He would be frustrating as hell at times, but we haven't had shooter like him on the team in a long time.

Crawford would be the ultimate 6th man, did we draft him? I know he played here so it would be a homecoming of sorts.

They should make that happen!! Rivers likes defense. I would think if he doesn't like Noah he would like Gibson to do some dirty post work. Gibson would fit their team nicely and would probably be the recipient of some nice lanes and alley oops. Meanwhile with Mitotic and Gasol, we really need to move one of them anyway.

We need that scoring guard....why not get THE scroring guard? I would so much rather have him than Dunleavy when we have Snell to start and McBuckets off the bench. Then Crawford comes in the game, you slide Butler over, and bring in Gibson or Mitotic for your small ball.

Louis Williams who the lakers just got would have been nice. too expensive. Either Nate Robinson or Brooks back sure would be nice.

And now the Cavs are about to get Joe Johnson. When lebron retires we should offer him the gm spot. He knows how to get shit done.

Bron is driving up a tax bill thats gonna be more than the Nets...Jerry would have a heart attack

they are potentially gonna have 5 guys making max money (Kyrie, Bron, Love, Tristan, Joe)

then Andy V and Shumpert making 10m

I am usually pro union pro player but this is a little concerning that lebron has that much power. He is giving it to dan gilbert without lubrication. This probably is the best revenge for that letter. Now he owns the cavs. If lebron says jump dan gilbert will ask "how high".

He only knows how to get shit done because he holds the team hostage. Ownership/GMs then cater the **** to him. If LeBron actually became a GM, no one is going to give him anything.

Either way, if the Cavs end up with Joe Johnson and David West, there is absolutely zero reason to watch the NBA next season until the NBA Finals. And you only watch that if you think the West team has a chance to beat the New York Yankees...I mean Cleveland Cavs.

David West would be stupid to sign there honestly

Mozgov/Andy Love/Thompson....wheres his minutes? take a pay cut to be 5th big? i don't think so

backing up Aldridge might be a good look if he wants to take less and play for a contender

If he does sign there it would be after anderson gets traded to for joe johnson.

time to swoop in

Cory Joseph would be an awesome pick up...good defender and is only 23 so some upside still left

I want Crawford for either Gibson or Noah. Hell...both if it returns a draft pick. Its a bold move but it must be flushed at some point.

We are bound to make some moves this next season before the deadline, if not the season. If you sign Dunleavy you got to move either Snell or McDermott in my opinion. You keep one for depth and move one for value returned in some way. Snell is a bad player to be blocking the path of McDermott because of his temptation to defend by the coach. If Hoiberg has other plans, like scoring, Snell should be moved but I don't think he commands a pick even at the value we drafted him.
