time to swoop in

Cory Joesph would be an awesome pick up...only 23 years old

And only making about 2M now. If we sign him for cheap, he could be a great contract if he keeps developing

Mo Williams or Jameer Nelson for me if they can't trade for Jose Calderon. The guy is a very good 3pt shooter and decent passer/low turnover guy.

Are you a Knicks fan? Why would the Bulls want Calderon, isn't he on an awful contract? Plus he's old and bad.

from a entertainment stand point i hope so

but i don't except to get pass Cleveland with the roster as it stands
No one is beating Cleveland in the East. As currently constructed, the Bulls still have the best chance, which isn't saying much.

im not sure we could even get by other teams like Miami, Wizards, Raptors, Atlanta and maybe even Bucks

unless of course Rose starts to be like his old self again which i doubt but who knows

You're afraid of the Raptors? Really?

The Bucks give the Bulls length issues, but are beatable...and until Parker fully recovers and steps up his play, they aren't a threat yet either.

The Wizards always seem to give the Bulls fit, and Miami, with its roster currently 100% healthy, could give the Bulls a problem. Hard to see if they'll be healthy come playoff time though.

The Hawks are essentially the same team as last year except they lost Carroll... I think their season was a fluke last year. They're still a good team, but to me that team is still beatable as well.

The Bucks are the only team from that list that cause concern for me, and even they will take time to develop chemistry (Parker/Monroe). The Heat are old and never healthy, the Wizards are good but didn't improve this offseason and were not better than the Bulls last year, the Raptors are the Raptors, and the Hawks took a step back losing Carrol.

hey that sounds like us

anyway not saying its forgone conclusion we'll lose to the Raptors...really only Miami/Wizards are the teams i think would give us real trouble while Bucks/Raps/Hawks are possible surprises

but its hard to say right now what they'll do...Hoiberg might be a bust, Jimmy might regress, Rose/Noah might still suck, Nikola/Doug/Snell might not show any improvement or maybe it'll be the other way around...who knows

Wizards also lost Pierce, so they lost their veteran go-to-guy.

And yeah, it really is hard to say what's going to happen.

Based on how I see things right now, I'd say:
1. Cavs
2. Bulls
3. Hawks
4. Wizards
5. Bucks
6. Heat
7. Raptors
8. Pacers

But obviously there's still a few months of this offseason to go.

forgot about them losing pierce and we also got a different coach with a different system

having a stretch 4 is an achilles heel for them and im positive Hoiberg will take advantage of that

How do you figure? Rose, Butler, and Niko are plenty young. Yes I know, Rose's knees, but he has plenty of time to put that in the past. Gibson and Noah are old and injury prone, but we have plenty of bigs to make that not a big deal. The Heat have far too much money tied up to Wade/Bosh/Deng/Dragic. All of those guys are beyond their primes, and they lack any real bench.

Wow....

you can see the pride story developing here. GarPax are gonna bring back THEIR roster with a new coach.

Remember the Bulls had one of the most analyst revered depth rosters in the league last year. Bringing back the same collection means we have more talent than all but 4-5 teams.

I know its boring but they only played 10 regular season games together. Changing the coach is a big change. Keeping the same roster is a good way to evaluate Thibs and Holberg.

Garpax may get a different story than they are looking for there.

Any deals that need to be made will be made mid season. TDL. It makes the most sense.

We are a top 4 team in the East and one of 6-8 with a shot at the title. Same team coming back that really honestly nearly had the Cavs 3-1 if they weren't completely offensively inept.

I want to point out, that these 12 players, most of them also have 4-5 years in Thibs defense. The plan should be to try and play Thibs defensive style. Keep rotations that are familiar to players. Let Heinrich, Noah, Gibson and the assistants coach it. This backfired for the Bears, and might here. But it could be worth a championship run for one year.

You might complain about the boring continuity, but in terms of keeping the defense resembling Thibs its not a bad move.

This team is so deep, and has so many veterans in addition to 4 nicely developing youth in Snell, McDermot, Mitotic, Portis.

Players that almost certainly improve in 2015 over 2014
1. Rose 2. Noah 3. Gibson 4. Mirotic 5. Snell 6. McDermot

So half the team should have a better year than last year? We were pretty damn good last year when all together guys. Half the team is primed for a better year!!

Gasol is the one guy I worry about regression. Maybe Dunleavy should be watched (just another why did we sign him?) and then Noah can't really be worse than last year. He could be significantly better. If he doesn't improve he seems overwhelmed at least his style of game by the knee. Or he just can't play with Gasol. But perhaps that chemistry could improve significantly as well. This team all came back together with a new coach like they have unfinished business. I'd love to stop Cleveland superteam with chemistry, size and depth. We might be the only thing in their way once they are constructed specifically to beat Golden State maybe our size will trouble them if they got an injury to Mosgov for instance after trading Varijao.
