I would assume I have watched way more Rangers games than anyone on this board. They are who I get on local Fox TV in New Orleans. I have watched them all season. I have said all year I do not believe they are near as good as their record. There pitching has been suspect. Hamels has not been to good in the past month or so. Darvish is not near as dominant as years past. The rest of their starters can give up runs in a hurry. They seem like the Orioles from a couple of years ago who won all those one run ballgames. I think it will be a good series because these teams hate each other, but I give the edge to Toronto.

2012
Cardinals - Lose NLCS
Orioles - Lose ALDS

2013
Pirates - Lose NLDS
Rays - Lose ALDS

2014
Giants - Win WS
Royals - Lose WS

2015
Astros - Lose ALDS
Cubs - Lose NCLS

Interesting. So basically anything can happen and there is no rhyme or reason for how playoff baseball unfolds.

Do you think Showalter pulled his starter too soon?

Eh, the game was on the line. Tillman has giving up 20 home runs in that ball park in his career. The stadium was rocking and he is not a big ground ball pitcher.

Showalter is getting DESTROYED today for not putting in Britton.

I absolutely thought the Jiminez move was terrible. If he doesnt have his best stuff, he gets hit like a pinata.

Also, that 91 MPH fastball down the heart of the plate couldnt have been put on a T better for Encarnacion.

I didn't catch the whole game, just from the 9th inning on. When he brought in Jiminez, my first reaction was doesn't this guy suck? Not being a huge American league fan...I had to look him up and my memory was correct. He's mostly been a starter and a bad one at that....so you put your whole season in this guy's hands? Showalter deserves whatever shit he is catching for that move.

No. He had gone through the order twice and with runners on the corners and less than two outs, you need a ground ball there and Tillman's ground ball rate this year was fairly low (41.2%) so you really weren't thinking that he was going to get you out of that inning. You could also point to the fact that in the exact moment, he's not pitching well giving up two doubles and a single to the 7-8-9 hitters.

I mean they're a worse version of the Royals last year in that they hit HR instead of make a lot of contact but the idea is they have a dominant bullpen that can hold a lead for three innings, you just need to get there. They simply have no SP so I'm not shocked they pulled Tillman that early.

LOL

The fix is in here, folks. Tough to pull those NY dollars out of the mix.

Syndergaard is unhittable. Both him and Madbum might go 9 scoreless innings.

If the Giants win, no way Bumgarner will pitch before game 3 as game 2 would be 2 days rest. And if he pitches game 3, game 5 would be 2 days rest.

Tonights starter from WC winner pitches Game 3 only unless it rains for a week.

Poor Synderguard. No run support.
