Kmet isnt on their level IMO. He should mostly be an inline TE imo.

At this point might as well go BPA.

He's literally as good if not a better athlete than Zach Ertz.

What makes you think he's not on their level? Because he didn't put up as much production in college?

Back to back tackles

Windy will bitch about this somehow

I mean, two 7th rounders isn’t exactly much of an investment into what most consider our weakest position group on the team

"Arlington Heights" Hambright

NFL Analyst
Overview
Hambright played tackle as a senior at Colorado, but will need to move inside due to his lack of functional length. He plays with a good combination of agility and play strength to fit with a zone scheme or pin-and-pull rushing attack as a guard who can get into space and land on the move. His stiff punch can discombobulate lesser college rushers, but an NFL offensive line coach will need to correct the oversetting and lunging in order for Hambright to hold up against pro competition. He has enough athleticism, power and twitch to earn a back-end roster spot.
Strengths
  • Gets off the snap in a hurry
  • Loose/athletic and can get out in front on long pulls
  • Possesses adequate play strength
  • Accelerates into and through contact on down blocks
  • Sets pass-pro anchor and can generate decent push in run game
  • Times up a stiff, jarring punch
  • Shows some variation to his attack in pass pro
  • Quick hands get to re-set when he loses the frame
  • Impressive redirect quickness in his feet
Weaknesses
  • Limited experience as an FBS starter
  • Takes inconsistent angles on backside blocks
  • Lack of length creates issues with lunging
  • Could face difficult adjustment period against interior quickness as a guard
  • Oversets in pass pro, creating trouble against inside counters
  • Footwork seemed to get a little lazy later in season
  • Allows secondary rush to escape his mirroring

Really confused as to why Kmet can't be an elite TE eventually.

Other than the fact he got drafted by the bears and not the packers.

Didn't we just draft a Guard in the 5th round a couple years back that we cut this past season? James Morgan?

Didn't we also just invest two second rounders on interior oline?

Well they are 7th rounders lol.

Which is fine. Big coachable bodies. Oline is like no other in the draft. If i ever get a crazy amount of time, I'd show each teams Oline and where they were drafted. We took 2 today that will no doubt compete

Pace is responsible for roster not Nagy
They are a team.

Spriggs and Ifedi were added too. So 4 new faces and most likely a few UDFAs...

Kelce flat out better prosepct.

Ertz was a more polished route runner and got in and out of routes quicker. Kmet is almost a half second slower in 3 cone.

Now Kmet has tools to develop but now I would put his ceiling at a Mertellus Bennet level not Kelce or Ertz.

Yeah and. He said Windy would complain and it is obvious if you wanted OL early getting 2 in 7th round doesnt really address that.

If they make it out of the draft, I'd like the Bears to take a look at Quartney Davis and Jeff Thomas, both WRs. David Woodword LB, and there's at least 5 or 6 TE's that were mock drafted all the time still sitting there. Add in Anthony Gordon and go get 1 or 2 of these guys as udfa.

OL gets so much movement.

Remember Jordan Mills? Pretty sure that dude has been on 5 teams already.

Pace got some bodies. That's all they needed. Just some coachable bodies.
