The 2010-11 Bulls team was 36-5 at home and 26-15 on the road. Obviously slanted towards the home, but in the playoffs they did lose a HCA series in the ECF. That Bulls team was also rated outside the Top 10 in O, and lost to a team ranked Top 10 in both. So a bit of a different comparison.

I guess we'll see with them. I just am not willing to trust them with a Finals trip, though would be better for the NBA if they did IMO.

Bright future certainly, especially if they're willing to pay the luxury tax.
For sure, hard to trust a team that young when theirs a suns team with a better record and a lot more experience.

Grizz have been known to pay their stars in the past…Conley was the highest paid player in the league for 1 season. I can’t see them letting Ja get away, and he seems to actually like being in Memphis. but of course, got other guys that will want their $$ too

Ja certainly isn't going anywhere. I imagine he'll be eligible for a supermax as well. I guess we'll see if Bane takes the next leap and is an All-Star since then you got 3 expensive players on the in the near future. Also wonder what they'll do about Brooks after he's an FA. But if they're willing to pay, then good for them. This team can be good for a long time assuming everyone stays healthy.

I imagine Brooks will be the odd man out when his contract is up. They will pay Ja, and probably Jackson and Bane. Won’t leave much left for a guy like Brooks

Plus he's been injured all this time and they haven't missed a beat without him. Though I guess you could use the same argument about Ja lol.

Bane seems a more efficient player than Brooks though so I could see them picking Bane over him.

Their contract situation is actually fairly good, assuming Ja and Bane sign extensions at the time they can. I'm guessing they won't be keeping Anderson and Jones after this season.. Adams/Brooks expire after next.

I think I jinxed Boston. Losing RW3 is a huge blow for them defensively. Sounds like he's going to miss at least the 1st round.

Prob enough to send them back down to 4th seed and play the Bulls... if the Bulls can manage to stay at #5.

That would definitely be best case scenario for us. Even if we fell to 6th and they fell to 3rd.

At this point, I'm not sure we beat any other top team in the first round.

We won't.

We do get a preview of this Boston team without Williams soon though.

They absolutely won't. They're playing like one of the worst teams in the league for the last couple months basically.

I’m assuming the blue is a team option?

Anderson they will definitely let go after this season. Jones is the guy they will try to bring back if at all possible/reasonable. Best backup PG in the league IMO. Big reason why they are still so good when Ja goes down.

Adams they will probably let walk, while kind of simultaneously replacing him.

But like you said, they are in a good spot cap wise

Is Vuc the worst offensive rebounding center in the league? Seriously.

Edit: 37th in the league for all centers.

They are also destroying, and I mean destroying, the Warriors right now.

I know this post is two days old, but looking at bball-reference, 4 teams are Top 10 in O & D right now..

Utah is 1st in O, 10th in D
Phoenix is 2nd in O, 3rd in D
Memphis is 5th in O, 5th in D
Boston is 8th in O, 1st in D

Phoenix and Memphis are most balanced teams.

I'd argue though anyone with a superstar is still a title contender, because these top 10 teams do lose in the playoffs, usually as a result of lacking a superstar.

So I'd argue, Milwaukee, Philadelphia, and Golden State (assuming Curry returns) are still contenders as well as these 4 teams above. If someone wants to make a case for Brooklyn simply because of Durant, be my guest, but their so far down in the standings, I have trouble believing they could contend.
Case for Brooklyn, yes, the run off Durant Kyrie Isos and sometimes it dont work out but how often are they off? Tough in a series. Also, Brooklyn has played excellent against bigs lately. They can defend that, so is it just effort? They seem like a straight up play only in the 4th quarter type of team. Probably burn them, but cant count out that type of scorers.

It's best just to believe he's the worst center in the league, it'll take some of the sting away

Also, people are talking Jokic and Embiid for MVP. No doubt they are deserving but I really think it should go to Booker. Best record in the league. His stat line plus top notch defense. CP3 goes out. Booker just adapts. The guy went from a walking bucket to a walking everything.
