Fuuuuuccckkkk…was hoping the knee discomfort was gone and that it was just a back issue now. This doesn’t bode well that he’s still having knee discomfort. Sounds a lot like Lonzo’s situation where they will need to go in and clean it up to get it right
That would really suck.

Catch and shoot Coby can be really good.

DeMar with a 40 piece. Four starters in double figures.

Facts. It’s when Coby gets into create and dribble around mode that he gets in trouble

You really have to have DeMar in the MVP discussion.

Bulls have 37 wins. The consensus two top MVP choices are Embiid (Sixers 34 wins) and Jokic (Nuggets 32 wins).

Paul and the Suns have 46 wins, but I'm sure they would still be up there in the standings even with an average replacement starting PG. DeRozan has been carrying the Bulls through injuries and COVID protocols to the #2 seed

Coby White's 3pt shooting is elite-level at this point.

DeMar continues to be amazing. Correct me if I'm wrong but his career in the NBA doesn't indicate any kind of injury history. He's athletic but he doesn't rely on his athleticism, he's got kind of a old-man below-the-rim kind of game that I think preserves his body.

Every time I watch Doug McDermott I'm just reminded what a disappointment he was for us. Traded 5 picks to get him. He's just not a difference maker on any team.

There really is no concensus MVP this year.

Jokic would win it if only numbers matters, but Denver being 6th in the West gives voters pause. Chris Paul's numbers aren't MVP worthy, but the Suns record is. Embiid and Greek have the best shots if they can elevate their teams a bit more in the standings. Curry is still in discussion despite kind of faltering since his rock solid start to the season. Then we got DeMar.

But MVP voters in the past show a clear bias towards team wins than individual numbers.

I'd say Embiid is having the best season. The Sixers would be bottom dwellers without him. Statistically, favorable to Jokic except in the assist column.

Speaking of the Spurs vs. Bulls, Dejounte Murray is a beast. Already the Spurs all-time leader in triple doubles and great defender. I wonder how many wins the Spurs would have without him this season

Why do you assume that about the suns? They were terrible with a pretty similar roster before Paul went there. Paul has had a huge impact on every team he's been on. Look at OKC after he left as well.

I glossed over that point in his post, but yes, Paul absolutely elevates that team. I think without him, Phoenix is maybe fighting for a low seed.
