If he is a defensive black hole, I could see him being a trade chip for a PF. Caruso and Ayo can hold down the backup G spots if Coby doesn't do what they need from him.
That he is, but he's fast as hell and can shoot the ball.....there should be some interest. Don't know who's out there as my interest in the NBA has dropped off over the years. (Thanks, Gar/Pax) They will probably have to add to a deal to get a big for Coby. I just know they really can't go all season with a 6'4" guard as their starting PF. While I do like Green's energy and his value....he'll be a 6'2" guard by Xmas with the physical pounding he'll be taking.

No reason to trade Coby this year

At the rate the Bulls are going they will be the premier buyout destination for bigs because of the hole at PF so all they really need to do is wait until buyout season and they may get a chance at Love or even bringing Thad back which would probably push them to contender status this year with the way they are playing .

You build up Cobys trade value this year and then you see what can be done on draft day

Not big on bringing in a washed Love. Young isn't that much better than Jones at this point. Overreacting to Williams' injury isn't going to do them any favors, in my opinion.

Upset I missed this one... A lot of fantasy points riding in the Chiefs/Giants game tonight, so my attention was there instead. ughhh
This is a reason I stopped doing fantasy football.. suddenly my Sunday, Monday, and Thursday nights were free. I sometimes will turn those game on if I haven't thought of anything better to do. Otherwise I only watch Bears games, which are mostly pathetic.

Bulls definitely need some rebounding and interior help that is height. That said, Tony Bradley has looked quite good the past two nights in the minutes he's gotten. But I'd like some PF help.

Saw this on Reddit:

It's the 1st time in the shot-clock era (since 1954-55) that a team [the Celtics] lost by 14+ points after leading by 14+ entering the 4th quarter.

Why would we not bring in cheap veteran rebounders and great screen setters who can make an outside shot ?

If healthy they are both prime buyout candidates additions in the spring

Going to be difficult to increase cobys trade value when he plays just 15 min a game for the bulls

the time to trade coby is this season. Maybe recoup some draft capital that the bulls have sacrificed a lot of recently

Cobys gonna get 20-24 mpg on this squad as Billy will likely try and get Demars minutes down from nearly 35 pg to 30-32 t o try and keep him fresh all season long . His three point shooting guarantees he will see a tons of minutes on this squad

I see Coby getting more than that once he's up to speed, if he gets up to speed. Frankly, I think they'll sacrifice Ayo's minutes as he's a rookie.. Coby should slide in the 6th or 7th man spot quite easily.

They could trade him at deadline, but depends what his role ends up actually being and obviously the return they can get for him.

I disagree, Thad would be great on this team. He provides playmaking and IQ that Jones just doesn't have and is a good post defender, something we are sorely lacking outside of Bradley who is foul prone. As it stands he's out of our price range now I think so idk if we could even get him back but his skill set would be very welcome.

Heck, Theis would also be great to have on the roster still.

That’ll be tough to do if Ayo keeps playing the way he is. Ayo has absolutely taken full advantage of the playing time he’s gotten thus far

like the other poster mentioned coby getting 20-24 min a game. But those minutes have to come from someone…sure getting derozan a few less minutes is 3 of that 20-24 min period. You could take Ayo’s full 12 minutes away from him(as brutal as that would be) and you’re up to 15, the amount I suggested he ends up with. I just don’t see where you take 20-24 min from the current minute allotment

not to mention Ayo also plays a lot better defense than coby does. And defense is what this team needs. It’s no coincidence that Ayo was on the court a lot in that 4th quarter that the Celtics got held to just 11 points. He was helping a ton on the perimeter. And that’s just something coby is horrendous at

Really, it'll depend on how Coby plays. I can see about 15 to start when he first comes back. If he's scoring the ball, I think they'll find a way to get him to 20-25. If the Bulls are keeping leads, you can sacrifice starter minutes a bit more.

So, its really up to Coby.

He better come back and play some defense if he wants to get those kind of minutes with the bulls

Hard to believe Coby is the same height as Ayo, he seems much smaller...

I see what your saying and your probably right. I just wonder sometimes if organizations just don't know how to work with guys like that.
Yeah...I think Bol Bol next to Vucecic is different. One is strong, one is long, and they should get rebounds.

It'd better than nothing.

That said, what a 4th quarter against the Celtics. Only a really good team can do something like that. It might be the best quarter of the year but it was a holy shit.

To go from getting blown out to blowing them out. Derozan was a killer. Vucevic was a fighter, and Lavine is unstoppable.

@knoxville I now applaud your long fight for Lavine. That under rim off glass shit was reminding me of ... Michael Jordan.
