Well, literally almost no nba players play more than a quarter straight without being subbed out. Especially not a big man over the age of 30, so not sure what to say other than you have unmeetable expectations then lol
I am not saying it happens on the regular, I'm just saying it would be reasonable to assume a professional athlete could sustain playing that long if the situation required. In the regular season it would probably never happen. But it definitely does happen in the playoffs. We've seen Jimmy Butler play all 48 minutes on more than one occasion.
To provide the most extreme example, Wilt Chamberlain once averaged 48.5mpg in a whole season. Is Drummond as conditioned as Wilt? Of course not, but playing say 14-15 straight in game minutes to me is not an unreasonable thing.
I'm not even really saying that Drummond should've been in the whole time without a break, like I said previously it was perfectly reasonable in my mind to take him out to check on his shoulder, fatigue notwithstanding. I'm really just saying that if called upon to do so, Drummond (and any other NBA rotation player), should be able to play out a whole quarter. Whether last night was a case of "he should've played the whole time" is subjective.
