It’s not about lonzo having a lebron level impact. It’s about the bulls weaknesses being lonzo s strengths. On this roster, Lonzo has a massive impact. It wasn’t just a few more wins, this team went from #1 seed in the east to now not knowing if they will make the play in tourney. That’s a massive impact no matter how you slice it. I’m sure not all of this difference is just Lonzo, but it’s clear his impact is missed greatly

How many elite teams did the Bulls beat with lonzo? They had a pretty cup cake schedule early in the season. Again, he’d help but if the Bulls were completely lucky, they’d be a 4-5 seed with lonzo at best. The hot start last year was fools good

6-5 is .500? Im no mathematician but if you extrapolate that over a season. I dont think its .500 still.
Ooooo look at you! You got me now! instead of a 50% win %, it’s actually 54.5%! Damn, you showed me!

The hot start was almost half the season

Is lonzo ever going to play again? What was his injury, a meniscus? Or just a knee scope/clean up? Has anyone ever had this long of a recovery from that?

Sidenote: I imagine zion would have a long recovery because of all the extra weight he carries

Also November O and D ratings are fairly meaningless.

I don't start judging until the new year.
I know Scoot. I dont even care about records right now. Its a long season. Second half is the real push. I fully expect for the Jazz and Blazers not to be two teams in the top 4. West is going to be one big mush of records.

It was a torn meniscus then a bone bruise that never healed then a scope which he is now rehabbing from. Supposedly the bone bruise was the thing holding him back initially and then somehow he couldn't do anything without pain during the summer. They claim he's doing much better after this past surgery, progressing past where he was getting stuck last time.

However, it is probably safer to assume he will miss the season and never have the same impact again

The guy that was just going on and on about the Pels 9-6 record doesn’t care of records right now ???

It was. But I dont recall them beating anyone good. They beat Boston early in the season when Boston sucked. Same for the Nets. I remember them getting shalacked by Miami and GS in particular. And 6ers owned them. I think they would have fallen off no matter what, although maybe not as drastic. We’ll never know, however.

I also mentioned this before but I think they had their best stretch last year when they had a zillion injuries and BD was out due to covid ??

Granted, against a really cup cake schedule

You read a room well
He missed Memphis and last night and was day to day. He is coming back for Boston or GS game. Its a bruised foot.

By the way, Pels 5th in the West with Zion "injured". All about the W's

Also granted, you'd expect a good team to dominate a cupcake schedule. The more telling stat to me is that even with Lonzo they didn't beat anyone good except maybe Boston, though as you said Boston was not playing well at the time.

And to this team's credit, they at least managed to beat a couple teams that are considered "good" teams while in the middle of a tough schedule in terms of scheduling (though of course not opponent quality), which is an improvement over 0, although the bar of course is stupidly low at that point.
