You’re right but also, Thibs was a legit coach who didn’t accept bullshit and wasn’t afraid to lay into guys or withhold playing time for not doing what was asked. BD’s coaching style seems to be predicated on menacingly chewing gum and watching the game without much coaching going on. I don’t see him animated during the game I find it hard to believe he’s holding guys accountable or laying into them for inexcusable effort. Of course, he might be hesitant to do so because his coaching/strategy sucks and he doesn’t want to further rock the boat knowing he’s part of the problem.

I dont know about Thibs. Sometimes I think he is just weird. He will randomly just not play players for long stretches on the Knicks that really make no sense.

I’ve questioned some of Thibs rotations/subs in the past, but he knows what he’s doing. Either way, Thibs will let you know and call you out for lackluster play/effort. I’m not so sure BD is capable of that. I’m also not so sure he knows what he’s doing.

In spite of that Thibs hasn't been too much more successful than BD post Bulls. Granted BD has had a superstar level player for most of that time so of course that looks worse for BD

Yeah I was even ready to move on from Thibs at the end but I think he did get the short end of the stick here. Thought he did pretty good in Minny all things considering. He’s likely a coach that needs a very specific roster makeup before he wears out his welcome. Don’t think he really works well with the new age entitled pre Madonna cry babies

Sign me up. Blow it up. I’d rather watch a bunch of young players learning to play together and grow than this group get thrashed nightly. The younger guys would likely play harder and there would at least be some potential. This group seems like they’re just waiting to be taken out of their misery

I know AK won’t do it, but I’m sure he could get 2 1sts for LaVine. Minimum.

If Bulls took back a bad contract, they could likely get a 1st for Vuc, maybe even 2 if they’re late 1sts.

DeRozan would bring back a sizable haul.

Maybe a team gets desperate and gives up a 1st for a combo of Caruso/Green or Green/White or DJJ/White etc. Something along those lines.

Pat will likely never amount to anything special, but I’d prob hang onto him unless I was blown away by an offer. He’s young, cheap, and still has potential. Maybe if you clear the vets out he develops. Doubtful, but who knows.

Fire BD. Not sure what coaching candidates are available but I don’t think he should be too difficult to replace. Hell, go get Udoke but just make sure the wives have no contact with him lol

To my eye, it looks like there’s a lot more empty seats in the stands than usual, which effects concessions. But they’re probably still selling out
