Poole thinking he is Curry with over 10 seconds left lol
Contextually he had been making his 3s that night and it's not like Poole doesn't shoot and make those shots. One of those make it you're the hero, miss it you're to blame shots.

The problem is that Poole, in general, isn't a GREAT 3pt shooter.

He's a career 33% from beyond the arc, but the league average is 36%. So it's safe to say that he's actually a "below average" 3pt shooter. Guys like Poole make those occasionally and think they are automatic from there, when it reality, it's almost always a bad shot for them. They just get lucky sometimes and it goes in.

Guys like Curry, Dame, etc? It's probably a good shot, make or miss. Poole? Probably not a good idea.

That's a fair point and it is known that Poole is a bit of an irrational confidence shooter. Even taking out his first two years where he was in and out of the gleague, he's only averaging 34.9% from 3, still below average. And of course this year was a down year for him from 3 at 33%. At the same time last year's playoffs Poole shot 39% from 3, so which Poole does GSW get on a particular game? Was it a bad shot? Probably, but arguably just because it didn't go in. If it goes it, no one says anything probably. Personally, I do feel like he should gotten a little bit closer and he didn't NEED to shoot it from there, but it's what it is, it was an in rhythm shot on catch and shoot on a night where he was otherwise hitting 60% from 3.

Heck even Trae Young shot 33% from 3 this year and is only about average for his career from 3 as well and he takes a ton of deep 3s. And technically Dame is only slightly above average at 37%. Steph is the true unicorn (and ideally the person you want actually taking that shot) shooting 42% on the ridiculous types of 3s he takes. I'm not entirely shocked since deep 3s are just tougher shots by nature.

Actually found this part of the NBA website which tracks deep 3pt% (30+ ft), kinda interesting to see the numbers (no, it doesn't say Poole should shoot deep 3s) NBA CourtOptix | NBA.com

It's similar to the Jimmy situation last year. I mean it was fundamentally an awful shot: 30 foot, 10 secs left, 2 timeouts, and only one teammate in position for a rebound. Even if you make it LA still has ample time for the game winner.

It was open and in rhythm with a hot hand that night so you can give it that.

My two picks for the Finals were knocked out in the 1st. My western backup pick is down 2-0 to the Nuggets.

I had Denver in the West and Milwaukee in the East. I really thought with Milwaukee going into the post-season healthy, they would make some noise. I had lots of respect for Boston too, because IMO, they have the deepest roster in the league. I just didn't trust them fully.

I honestly picked Denver for no reason in particular. I thought 4 teams in the West had a solid shot, but thought they would have the easiest path.

Now, I think it's going to be the winners of the BOS/PHI & DEN/PHX series.

With CP3's injury, it definitely seems like Denver will be advancing at this point. Lakers are getting hot at the right time, so who knows.

Miami and NY realistically have no shot.

everyone acts like they want animosity amongst players and rivalries, yet this goes to show that they likely don’t really

I can't speak for anyone else, but I had no issues with Brooks talking shit.

At the same time, if you talk that much shit, you need to expect that people are going to trash you when you don't deliver. If Brooks would have talked his shit and follow it up with a huge series and victory over the Lakers, Brooks would have been praised. Instead, he disappeared, both on and off the court.

Luka and Booker have a nice rivalry going and constantly talk shit to each other. People love it, and both players deliver when they face each other.

Brooks problem was he talked all this shit when he has never accomplished anything or even close to it. Then, when the world gave it back to him. He played victim role. Stand on your shit. Memphis is/was a good young team and have no problem with confidence but it was one thing after another. Brooks isnt coming back. Morant is going to have to get his mind right cause I love watching him play.

I agree. Just seems like some people are acting like he shouldn’t of talked shit to begin with and those are the same people that claim to like rivalries and shit talk. I’m just pointing out the hypocrisy of it

And cool that luka and Booker have a “rivalry.” I haven’t heard or noticed it, but maybe when Luka actually makes the playoffs it can develop more lol

I could see Miami make the Finals if Jimmy returns healthy and that ankle isn't going to limit him the rest of the playoffs. The Heat almost beat the Knicks without him after all. However, I would pick BOS/PHI to advance over Miami still.. but I'm open to it happening.

I do think Denver is basically a lock for the WCF at this point. CP3 is likely to miss the next 3 games (if there even is 3 games). I really wouldn't count out GSW/LAL as much as most people here may want to. The Lakers have the defense to go deep and obviously have LeBron/AD. The Warriors have Curry and a well rounded team as well and the vast experience. Denver has been to one WCF in the bubble, and that's their deepest playoff experience with this current squad.

What a choke job by the Warriors! Unless, they make a 3-1 comeback. The dynasty is over. Draymond wont be back and my oh my did he make dumb play after dumb play. Curry stat line was a monster but he missed so many 3's that he was open on. Klay was a non factor. Poole has completely disappeared.

Lonnie Fucking Walker drops 15 on them in the 4th. Didnt think the Lakers could beat them but GS problems in the regular season were shown in full force tonight.

Writing has really been on the wall all season. In spite of that they were right there til the end despite poor shooting.

Props to Lonnie Walker man...game of his life probably. Bulls fans wish Coby White could play like that lol

The Warriors have sucked on the road all year.. it was surprising they grabbed two in Sacramento. Now they're back to not being able to win on the road.

Oh well, guess we'll have to suffer the Lakers in the WCF and strong possibility of them going to the Finals.

Morning report seems to be that AD is not concussed, though I wouldn't be happy if I were a Lakers fan until AD is actually on the court in Game 6.

I haven't heard anything at all about LeBron even being injured...

He has been injured with foot but ankle seemed to act up last night.

Yea, reports came out later he wasnt concussed. So, it makes the wheelchair moment even funnier.

Shaq and Barkley were laughing their asses off at it. Lakers fans were not happy lol

Poole thinking he is Curry with over 10 seconds left lol

No lol matter,

I am near 100% certain Jordan Poole is throwing some games.

Game 6 against the Kings. There is a ball he actually chooses not to save ... waits until it's too late, and then flails at it like he's trying.

He committed a bloober reel of turnovers and bad shots.

Then game 1 against the Lakers, where I believe your comment above stems? He goes along with the comeback until it's actually a possibility,

And misses a terrible shot from 30 feet by 3 feet. Best way to stop the comeback is to take that shot out of Curry or Thompsons hands for sure. Had time to move laterally to the 3-point line.

Think about how vulnerable he is. He got his contract already. He got punched in the face with Draymond. Hes even had beefs with Curry this year.

He is not a friend on his team he is out for himself and throwing games.
