Lol yeah and again, that 7 to 5 ratio is shitty. Just because he took more paint shots than 3’s, doesn’t mean he had good shot selection

You really don’t understand the concept of “body of work?” Like you really don’t think there is a difference if it’s ZL, Vuc, or fricking Tony Bradley shooting 10 three pointers, just because they are missing them?!

It’s called a track record. ZL has the history and statistics to back up him shooting a ton of 3’s. Yes, he had a bad shooting night, but if there’s 1 guy on the team that can shoot himself out of it from 3, it’s ZL. and I said I had complaints about his play as well. There’s no double standard here.

Like if the bulls need a dunk, I’m not asking Matt Thomas to go do it, I’d rather have DJJ or ZL dunk. But I guess that’s a double standard??

Like now you’re just being silly
You literally said "Everyone knows, when you’re struggling to shoot, you take it to the basket to see one go in. That’s in general, not Vuc specific." and "That’s all the more reason guys should take it to the rim like I’ve actually been claiming." Except Zach apparently, because he's a career 38% 3pt shooter. So which is it? You can shoot yourself out of your slump or you have to take it to the rim?

That's not even taking into account that BD's offense is designed to have Vuc take 3s off the pick and pop so his shot selection is in part of what is being designed. Similar to how Zach's 3s tend to be off the dribble coming off screens. I'd rather both of those things be different, but I recognize that their shot selection is a function of the offense they're in.

But again my point is that no one was making any shots and Vuc shooting 3s is not the reason they lost. Yeah Vuc took 10 3s, which is way more than I would prefer him to take, but that's not why they lost. This team lacks shooters so for better or worse, we should expect Vuc to take 4-5+ 3s a game. At least from what I've seen those are usually open looks, so I can't call them bad shot selection. How many times have we seen Javonte pass up an open corner 3 so that Coby can take a 28 foot one instead? Or PWill passing up shots. Heck if PWill would take more shots, maybe Vuc wouldn't get to shoot as many 3s and we can all calm down.

lol again, I mentioned critique earlier of ZL. So not sure how im giving him “a pass.” Im MORE OKAY with ZL doing it though, than I am Vuc due to historical data. That clear enough?

I also never said the bulls lost due to Vuc shooting 10 three pointers. Now you’re strawmaning it up

I never said you did. There's a general complaint about Vuc shooting 3s, which is understandable especially given the high volume of 3s taken. I'm just saying, it wouldn't have really mattered in that game who was shooting those 3s, they weren't falling. They were open looks, what more could you ask for?

Now you did say his shot selection was bad, or at the very least not good, that one I personally say is questionable because his shots are schemed that way. That is, high pick and pop for an open top of the circle 3. I get Vuc isn't a sniper in his career, but 35% is still average and in general that's a good shot for an average 3pt shooter (catch and shoot open 3), probably as good a look as you'll get. Maybe it's all irrelevant because he's shot the worst he's ever had on volume from 3 this year, but then it's on BD to not have him shooting so many 3s. If anything, we can agree that BD's current scheme is less than ideal because despite Vuc's poor percentages there's still a scheme that gets him 4-5 looks from 3 a game at minimum.

I think we'd both agree it'd be better to first establish Vuc at the basket and get him some quick baskets that way before he starts shooting 3s, but that's a BD issue, not a Vuc issue. He's just doing what he's told.

bucks gonna take off the belt and wallop on the bulls tonight …hopefully the bulls “star” players will at least look adequate and the defensive effort is respectable

Back in my day as a Bulls mod, it was all about troll prevention. We didn't wait until it was already popping off. We ran a very tight ship.

Bucks running the Matt Nagy offense to start the game. This bodes well for the Bulls.

Zach misses a LOT of shots right at the rim. He’s not a good finisher around the basket
