Perhaps AK was big brained after all in pursuing mediocrity...he knew the lotto winner would be a team with around 39 wins lol

I don't think the NBA could ever convince anyone that it wasn't rigged. Certainly as a Bulls fan it's easier to digest than the reality that we were a coin toss or a mere 0.1% away from Cooper. It's going to make picking twelfth that much more brutal.

This isn't even the first time the Bulls have lost a coin flip to the Mavs for a chance at a franchise changing player

They did for Luka too, right?
That was with the Kings who moved up to #2, and the irony is that we won that toss and were supposed to pick 6th but due to them jumping we fell to 7 anyway. I swear we can't win for losing. GarPax were interested in Bagley though so we likely would have blew it.

Ah you're right, it was the Kings not the Mavs.

Bulls would've found a way to blow the pick regardless because this city's fanbase is destined for eternal torture

I'm with you, I never liked the lottery. Whether tanking is an "issue" or not is up for debate, but it's going to happen to some degree no matter the format.
Honestly, with it being such a long season, you pretty much know 20-25 games in if the season is a lost cause. It's kind of hard for players to stay motivated for another 60 games when they know they won't make the playoffs anyway. Or if a guy gets hurt, he'll just stay out because... why risk getting injured even further on a hopeless team?

I kind of like the idea of having the lottery for the worst 4 teams and the rest pick according to record.
Definitely would be better than the current format but honestly, they just need to dump the stupid lottery already. Your record alone should decide it…people will bring up tanking but it already happens.

50% chance vs 1.7%

In the end, Bulls are still LOSERS
Tbh, this team doesn’t deserve the #1 pick. From ownership, to AK, down to BD, they’re a loser organization that would have wasted Flagg’s career. He’s in a much better spot in Dallas…good on the NBA for at least maximizing the rigging in a way that makes sense.

Yeah.... OKC is winning it all haha.

With how the Knicks look at times, it wouldn't be surprising if they lost to Indiana, and neither team can hang with OKC imo.

Which, I could be way off, but I would venture OKC would be one of the younger teams to win a title

I'm sure TWolves fans were delighted to eliminate Jimmy last night. Sucks for the Warriors with the injuries, but it is what it is.

Heck of an injury riddled playoffs this year...
Tatum - Achilles
Garland - missed a bunch of games with a toe injury
Dame - Achilles
Jimmy - Pelvic contusion, essentially (I'm assuming he played through the injury still, because I doubt it healed that fast)
Steph - Hammy
Porzingis - Some kind of upper respiratory illness
Holiday - Hammy, might be playing through it as well
MPJ - Playing through an obvious shoulder injury
Ja - Bruised hip
Evan Mobley and Deandre Hunter also both missed a game with minor injuries

Injuries are part of the game, but dang

Sounds like we need more load management.

Curiously, not a single New York Knick on that list.

Kind of makes you wonder.....

Time will tell if the trend holds true or not. Knicks have been quite durable in the playoffs so far.

Pretty impressed by OG in particular, was usually injured a lot more in Toronto, had his healthiest year this year playing, naturally, a career high in minutes

For being one of the best players in the world, they sure do call a lot of ticky tack fouls on Jokic.

There were a ton of touch fouls last night, seemed really weird

OKC/MIN and NYK/IND conference finals...this might be setting up for a very not marketable Finals unless the Knicks are there. No matter what, we're getting a champ who either hasn't won ever or hasn't won in a long time
