Yeah 34-36% for smith sounds right to me. My guess is he was signed with the expectation that he shoots closer to 37-40% though
Agreed. Wouldn't be the first weird logic for a signing. But he's also not really making a ton of money either so it's not like if he doesn't shoot 37%+ it's a total failure of a signing. He does bring other things to the table and those aspects have been pretty consistent throughout his career (athleticism, potential for rim protection, rebounding). He does not strike me as a player that will consistently shoot 37%+ from 3 during his career

lol Smith and Vuc told me to f off I guess. Vuc might've hit the most 3s he's had since he's been here

Bulls are back, baby!!! Lol

It is always entertaining when they lose, there’s more comments here than when they win 😂

Giddy with 9 assists to 1 turnover 👀
Bulls playing a much more uptempo style of ball now that a certain player is gone…

Yep! Right on cue lol

I didn’t see the game but was definitely surprised when I saw they won

These first two games will probably be representative of the play we'll see from this team. Some days they'll look incompetent, unable to make 3s, dribbling off their feet, high turnovers, awful defense, and just overall bad. Some days they'll be clicking and they'll put up a lot of points, maybe hit a bunch of their 3s (fun fact 21 3s hit vs the Bucks, already surpassing last year's high of 19), playing super fast, and wearing teams down with speed and pace. And you know what, that's ok.

That said, the goal is still to be bottom 10 at the end...but that doesn't mean they have to look like garbage the whole time to get there.

Admittedly I didn't catch this game, but looking at the box score, some weird shit in it:

Marcus Smart goes 0/11 and 0/8 from 3, but is +15 in +/-

Scotty Pippen Jr meanwhile has 14 points and 10 assists and is a -17.

PWill is 2/10 with a -20 (not surprising) but Bulls win..

Bulls make a franchise record 25 threes while shooting 53 of them.

Lonzo was +16 in his limited 18 minutes.

Dalen Terry attempted a Tony Snell statline of almost all zeros, minus the 4 fouls.

Giddy put up a hell of a stat line, too

And hey, we beat the Morantless Grizzlies!

Y’all hoping for the #1 pick going to be really disappointed as long as ZL is on this roster

I view Coby as more a problem to not losing than ZL.

In their two losses, Coby was awful.

Zach was great tonight and the other win as well

In the two wins ZL has 2 total turnovers

All I'm hearing is they both need to be traded.

Vucevic so far...

20.8ppg (highest since he was traded here, averaged 21.5ppg in the 26 games he played immediately after being traded in 2021)
10.3rpg (lowest average since he's been here, but not that far off his normal 10.9)
51.7% FG (highest since 22-23 season)
52.4% 3pt (highest ever lmao)
5.3 3PA (highest since he was traded)
2.8 FTAs (would be tied 2nd best of his career)
90.9% FT (would be a career high)
3apg (would be his lowest since 16-17 season, but also on par with the 3.3 he normally averages)

It's been 4 games so I put little stock into him keeping some of these numbers up, but this is a Vuc we have not seen in some time.

I've been giving him so much crap about his shooting and so far he's told me to STFU

Hopefully he could keep it up and the bulls could trade him

If he keeps this up they might even be able to trade him for something more than a 2nd round pick (by no means do I expect him to continue shooting this well from 3 though)

its almost as if this team is better than last years team that had a certain "all star" on it

Meaningless statement right now.

We've started 2-2 the last 3 seasons.
