The part that I was looking at is the walks explanation. It sounds like Horton's off speed has big movement. So hitters are able to sit on those pitches more. So it sounds more fine tuning and pitch sequence.

I was not 100% behind the opinion as watching pitching ninja, pitchers have huge movement in MLB. To the point that they are making hitters drop the bat with them. May pitching today is one of those guys that make hitters look foolish

Tucker and PCA is their two biggest needs. PCA hits anything over .260. You talking a lstar with big time supers status and constant top 10 MVP voting. He is top 10 already in FWar. The sky is legit his limit as a 5 tool player. Ranks basically first in CFs in all defense.
He’s elevated the OPS above .850 tonight and batting average over .280. That’s a far cry from just two weeks ago.

The Cubs lost a man caught stealing immediately before a home run and had another runner out at the plate by inches. The Dodgers had four unearned runs thanks to two workman errors. And the Cubs were down to their last out in the ninth and still prevailed.

Yuge!

We survived a game in which workman and Turner both played. 😄

This might be one of the best offenses since like 99 indians. They are scoring 6.24 runs per game vs a .629 strength of schedule. That's insane. PCA has a 133 wRC+. Tucker has a 189 wRC+. Happ has 112 wRC+. Busch is 164. Seiya is 148. Nico is 107. Amaya is 120. Kelly is like prime barry bonds at 285. Dansby has been pretty bad but when everyone else is hitting it doesn't matter as much as long as he gives you defense. And then of course 3B isn't where you'd want it to be but Workman has actually hit even if his defense has been weirdly suspect. He was a 101 wRC+ coming into today's 0-3.

Regardless, PCA and Amaya have taken the step forward you hoped they would. You would have liked Shaw to come out hitting but it's fine IMO. Get him right a bit and let him struggle like how PCA struggled in the first half of last year and came on in the 2nd half.

Another note, Ballesteros is absolutely crushing in AAA. We don't even have room unless move Busch to third and trust him at first. But, any big injury would have to see him coming up.

Is there any hope to get a decent 3B this year? It seems like anytime I watch, whoever is at 3B is fucking things up.

If Kelly could play 3B then promote Ballestros

Don't count out Matt Shaw yet. He made an adjustment in the fall and his timing is all off. MLB will get in your head. I like his pedigree to be back up.

Ballestros needs to have a spot in the lineup eventually. As a well-known happ hater, I'd trade him and put Suzuki in lf and let Moses dh.
Happ isn't going anywhere. The guy gives professional at bats and is extremely consistent. Balle can only play three spots C,1st, or DH

I know he isn't, he'd never waive his NTC. Cubs will probably end up trading Mo but I hate that because I think he's going to be a great hitter. Perfect long term DH
