My favorite teams
Wow. "Not quite up to Tucker's level." Do you realise the whole club is not at Tucker level..
Tucker is ranked #10. Busch #16 in MLB for wRC+Wow. "Not quite up to Tucker's level." Do you realise the whole club is not at Tucker level..
He was all over Mervis’ nuts for a while.Lmao nobody thought Mervis was a better option except for maybe you at one time
What does that second sentence even mean?Mervis is better that he was. Which was getting on his college degree sooner than later.
He is a typical late bloomer. Cubs have produced a few 1B in that mold
LaHair, Justin Bour; ya was stuck in Iowa and went to Miami also. Pretty sure that Mervis will get 3 years max and flame out like the others.
U jelly? He was all over Mervis’ nuts for a while.
A late bloomer is a person whose talents or capabilities are not visible to others until later than usualWhat does that second sentence even mean?
The bullpen isn't nearly as bad as people think it is. It's just thin because Assad and Miller aren't ready yet. To illustrate this point, the cubs have given up 50 ERs as a bullpen over 80.2 IP. 20 of those ER and 16 innings were Morgan and Pearson. If you remove those 2 you're talking about 64.2 IP and 30 ERs which is a 4.18 ERA and it was a 3.09 ERA prior to the big blow up the other day. And it's also worth noting that 4.18 ERA without Pearson and Morgan has come against a .636 strength of schedule.Isn’t Smyly a free agent still? He can’t be worse than what this bullpen currently is.
Your limitation must be counting.A late bloomer is a person whose talents or capabilities are not visible to others until later than usual
mold
verb [ T ]
us /moʊld/
mold verb [T] (SHAPE)
to shape something into a particular form:
She molded the clay into little animals.
Someone who molds someone else has an important influence on how that person develops:
I hope that this helps with your limitations
Allot, but I'm afraid the Cubs wont go there..Sooo.... how much does Kyle Tucker get?
Allot, but I'm afraid the Cubs wont go there..
Jed picked up Palmeraz today so I expect Wicks booted back to Iowa. Training wheels are not going to cut it this year. The bullpen isn't nearly as bad as people think it is. Now to be clear I wouldn't say the cubs have an elite bullpen and I'm not sure how much I believe in their left handed relievers. Having said that though I don't think this is anywhere near as bad as people think. I think Pressly, Hodge, Merrywether, Palencia and Keller are fine. And I think you can be optimistic based on their track record that Assad and Miller will also be fine.
Aside from the LHP, I think you could also argue for maybe one more high strikeout guy as right now you've only got Keller and Hodge but the reality is bullpens in the regular season don't matter that much. Cleveland was the best bullpen in baseball last season with 7.7 fWAR. The 16th ranked team was detroit with a 3.6. So the difference between the best bullpen in baseball and middle of the road is 4.1 fWAR over 8 guys or roughly 0.5 fWAR per player.
Your limitation must be counting.
I asked about the second sentence and you addressed not one, but two different sentences, neither of which was second.
I was referring to this mess: "Which was getting on his college degree sooner than later."
WTF does that mean? I guess I confused you by saying "second sentence", since this is not actually a sentence.
PomeranzJed picked up Palmeraz today so I expect Wicks booted back to Iowa. Training wheels are not going to cut it this year.
Drew had 14 k in 9+ innings in AAA so he fits as a pen lefty.
Steele should be back in May of 2026. Jed has deals going on with Shota, Taillon and Byrd. So if Horton fizzles then I expect a larger deal for a rental. I don't expect much until then.
3B might be a greater concern. Jed has shown that he wants results vs a training ground.
So we might end up seeing some deals come down in July if the internal options are substandard.
So, you don't know what it means either. Got it.Got ya. I am glad that I can entertain you.
And some here say that I am a distraction from the thread....the school teachers here need to go back to work.
Not sure why Marlon Byrd or maybe damiere Byrd is on the list eitherPomeranz
Tucker and PCA is their two biggest needs. PCA hits anything over .260. You talking a lstar with big time supers status and constant top 10 MVP voting. He is top 10 already in FWar. The sky is legit his limit as a 5 tool player. Ranks basically first in CFs in all defense.
