Kane cheeky again in the shoot out lol.

Horrible call on Stalberg late in the 3rd. Pretty bad officiating throughout the game. Interference just doesn't get called anymore.

Thank god no more games against the BJ's. The new Preds trap makes for shit hockey. 5 minutes of open ice 4 on 4 no trap hockey in OT trumped 60 minutes of regulation.

Bolland sucks

Hayes is slow as hell

Carcillo should have played

Hossa looked concussed

Brobovky is a myth

HAWKS WIN!!

Game just got exciting in the OT, otherwise a rather unspectacular game. A win is a win.

Buff was pretty chunky... then again I don't think I've seen Buff fall on his ass his entire tenure in Chicago as much as Hayes did last night.

Jimmy Hayes was skating like TCD after having one too many sausages.....

You can interpret that any way you like.

Lets talk about Hayes. Even though he is slow as hell and looked nervous and out of his element with Kane I think it's still worth it to give him a couple more games. That size of his could come in handy if he gets more comfy with the system. Jesus christ he is slow though. Not a speed I want on the LW with Kane on the other side and carrying the play but you need to give the guy another shot. I don't remember him being that slow last year when he was called up...I also don't remember him being that big either. He has AHL dominating size so Im not shocked he has been doing well there but his skating is not NHL standard which is my only concern. Kane deserves better than Bolland and Hayes but hell the kid looks like he could play with a horses head and a bottle of colt 45.

In the future though it would be nice for Q to start Carcillo. Hes not a game breaker but at least he can be rotated up the LW when needed. Many times last night where Carcillo would have actually made a difference along the boards or a dump and chase situation to get past the trap. Hayes is too slow for that shit. Perhaps a different opponent will highlite Hayes stronger points. No biggy Hawks still got the 2 points but I still question the decision of not icing the best players possible. Bollig is not the best option even though he wasn't horrible last night.

I think that's exaggeration. As I said about him when you asked, I still think he can be a serviceable NHLer. You're sounding like a damn drama queen and making it seem like this will absolutely crush any NHL ambitions for him when you already know that if he engages and puts in the effort that he can contribute some positive things to an NHL team like you saw in the beginning of his stint in Chicago last season. I also told you he didn't have Kaner speed and could get caught looking awkward---as I said, IMO he will only find NHL success if he if he plants in front of the net and makes use of his size there. I do think he was nervous with all the expectation though and that didn't help. I never wanted him slotted as a replacement for Sharp on the 2nd though so you have what you have. Morin's not a great skater either (but just like JHayes and I know it seems inconceivable to you right now but they've gotten better over the past couple of years!) but he's closest to being a pure scorer like Sharp in terms of Rockford, I mean if the team's plan is to use a Hog prospect. I suspect Q will allow for some nerves and jitters last night and still give the kid some more looksee time on the 2nd.
