In the future though it would be nice for Q to start Carcillo. Hes not a game breaker but at least he can be rotated up the LW when needed. Many times last night where Carcillo would have actually made a difference along the boards or a dump and chase situation to get past the trap. Hayes is too slow for that shit. Perhaps a different opponent will highlite Hayes stronger points. No biggy Hawks still got the 2 points but I still question the decision of not icing the best players possible. Bollig is not the best option even though he wasn't horrible last night.

Yeah, Bollig shouldn't be an option period. He made a few hockey plays the last game. A couple shots on goal. Every other player on the team does things like that on a game to game basis (yes, even Bolland) and it gets no recognition, nor does it really deserve any because....they're hockey players. It's just expected. With guys like Bollig, they don't happen too often, so it stands out more. That doesn't mean dress him over, apparently, healthy players who CAN play hockey on a game to game basis. It's not that he personally is to fault for anything in most games he plays in, simply because he doesn't do much of anything that amounts of much importance. It's like you pointed out, they lose some of that depth, something that has been a strength for them. Losing that ability to slide a forward up if need be during a game, because of injury or whatever reason Q has when he juggles lines. You can't put Bollig in any role other than "punch-in-face time" guy. Because he got a few shots on goal doesn't change that.

I think that's exaggeration. As I said about him when you asked, I still think he can be a serviceable NHLer. You're sounding like a damn drama queen and making it seem like this will absolutely crush any NHL ambitions for him when you already know that if he engages and puts in the effort that he can contribute some positive things to an NHL team like you saw in the beginning of his stint in Chicago last season. I also told you he didn't have Kaner speed and could get caught looking awkward---as I said, IMO he will only find NHL success if he if he plants in front of the net and makes use of his size there. I do think he was nervous with all the expectation though and that didn't help. I never wanted him slotted as a replacement for Sharp on the 2nd though so you have what you have. Morin's not a great skater either (but just like JHayes and I know it seems inconceivable to you right now but they've gotten better over the past couple of years!) but he's closest to being a pure scorer like Sharp in terms of Rockford, I mean if the team's plan is to use a Hog prospect. I suspect Q will allow for some nerves and jitters last night and still give the kid some more looksee time on the 2nd.

Okay slight over reaction. I should have said his skating isn't up to a top 6 NHL standard. And I'll stand by that. Not a league anymore where you can be productive as a top 6 forward if you can't skate. Barely productive as a 3rd line player if you can't skate. Games just too fast. I agree his size is something that can come in handy and I have no problems letting the guy use it by getting to the net and sitting his fat ass there. If he can get there fast enough

. He did show that ability on the Hawks first goal last night. Like you said playing with Kane on the 2nd line isn't exactly something that is wanted to be done but there are no other options unless the 3rd line is broken up or Q plays Carcillo..which again should have been done just for the option of wing rotation as mentioned already.
