Wheat beers are usually pretty easy on the palate and a good gateway beer to more complex stuff. I'll use this as a chance to toot by favorite beer horn. Go to a big liquor store and look for Weihenstephaner Heffeweissbier. It's a German (no way!) unfiltered wheat beer. Get the larger pint bottles, those are the good ones. You'll have to swirl it around to unlock all of the good shit that's settled in the bottom of the bottle.

Fish we've all already pegged you as a Miller Light fanboy. Just start now. :flipa:

312 has gone down the crapper since Anheuser Busch bought Goose Island and moved production of 312 to New York. Its still better than Bud Light, Miller Light, Coors Light though. So I'd try it, work your way up ;)

You should start with something really easy. Like Palate Wrecker. Ignore the name, it's practically Bud Light.

Screw 312 and just go right to Two Brothers or Victory.

Each have really good beers out right now for the summer(Dog Days by Two Brothers and Summer Love Ale by Victory)

312 was never really anything special and it's become even less so since it got bought out.

Other recent beers I've had that are worth a shot(ie really good) and a good transition away from piss water(Bud Light etc)

Deschutes Brewery: Twilight Summer Ale

Ska Brewery: Mexican Logger

Capital Brewery: Lake House

Victory Brewery: Prima Pils

Great Lakes Brewing Co: Rally Drum Red Ale

Not a bad beer, I was just curious as to more of the crafts etc. out there.

Thanks for the input men.

Tried that, didn't like it. Also tried Summer Shandy from Leinkugels, didn't like that either.

I think I have seen Victory and Capital out here...may give them a shot.

I have become a big fan of New Belgium...I like getting their variety pack to try a bunch of different flavors. Other than that I usually stay stocked on a bunch of the local breweries here in VA

I hate it.

Try some Uintas Hop Nosh or some Sierra Nevada Torpedo

Fun fact: a classmate from high school (but not my bro) helped found Ska Brewing
