Here are 2 trades that I think could happen...but won't. If you know what I mean. 1 for Melo, 1 for Crawford, 1 for Rudy and 1 for Granger.

The Melo trade scenario:

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2gxgsnc

Also, 2 1st round picks from the Bulls go to Den. The, everything is the same.

The Crawford trade:

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2clr46p

Also, a 1st round pick to ATL from the Bulls (the Port one).

The Rudy Trade:

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=28cdwuy

Rudy for a Bulls 1st round pick and JJ.

The Granger trade:

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2bzhzb5

Also, a 1st round pick to the Pacers. Then, if the Bulls want to trade Granger, I think he will be easier to trade then Deng.

Thoughts? I think all these trades would help the Bulls.

rudy is worth at most 2 second rounders, he just said he doesn't want to play for ny and chicago.

I like the Melo or Granger scenarios a bit. I voted "2 of them".

The Trailblazers will not just give up Rudy. Personally I'm not that high on the Bulls getting Rudy, mostly because he sounds more interested in leaving the NBA and going back to play in Spain than getting traded and having a fresh start w/ a new team

rudy is gone. he's untradeable, and the trailblazers seem to be rather vindictive towards him. i feel bad for the guy.

i'd do the trade for melo. I'm not sure if denver would do that trade JJ, taj, and corey brewer aren't very enticing offers.

no way in hell the pacers do the trade for danny granger. especially given the only incentive to trade granger would be to get rid of salary/get younger. they do neither with this trade.

i rag on him all the time, but no one, i hope no one, would ever trade for jamal crawford. More importantly no one would ever trade deng nor taj for crawford. he's a genuine chucker that plays absolutely no defense. Deng is a solid player for all his faults.

D-Rose and Boozer for Melo!!!!!!!!!!

We get it, you don't want to trade for Carmelo Anthony, and the "blind" love people give to a top 5-10 NBA player over a solid center with one good season and bad feet makes you sick. If I were you, I wouldn't go gallivanting around, shoving that into people's faces. But hey, that's just me.

i'd consider trading rose and deng for melo plus fillers, jr smith and lawson and a draft pick.

Seriously? I wouldn't do Rose for Melo straight up.

i'm torn on the idea. melo is a top 5-7 player. rose is in the top 15. I'm not sure if rose will ever be in the top ten, but he certainly has the potential. Right now, i'd rank him in the brandon roy level of talent, and portland would be completely Special person to not trade roy for melo. However unlike roy, rose has the ability to improve. i'm not sure if he will, but if he will, this trade will be ridiculous.

I wouldn't think about it. SF is easier to fill, Rose is younger and much cheaper. Even if he stays the same, its a lot harder getting a top 5 pg then top 5 sf.

Now trading a top 50 guy and a top 75 guy for a top 10 is a no brainer.

I wouldn't trade Rose for Melo, even though I believe that Rose will likely never be the best player on a championship team. He has the potential to be very, very good, but shipping him off for a "now" superstar will only be a marginal benefit to the team. Yeah, they'll be a bit better, but when you take into account the fact that Rose is salary controlled for another year (and thus into the next CBA) and isn't making noise about a contract, you bring the superstar to him, not send him to someone else for a superstar.

All that being said, I think Denver knows that Rose is untouchable, and if they want to get value in return for Melo they are going to have to accept something less as far as value goes from the Bulls, and really any other potential trading partner. If the organization wasn't so infatuated with one very solid season out of Joakim Noah, I think a deal for Melo would have been already done. Sadly, we are fans of a Chicago sports franchise, and for whatever reason, they (as well as a good number of the fans) are completely inept at rationally valuating their own talent.
