I was going to post some Prince videos, but every single Prince song on youtube is muted. Man, his lawyers were working overtime for that. Well, here's Dennis Edwards. The video is cheesy as hell, but the song has a classic bass line, one sampled by a multitude of rappers.

Search Maiden, Slayer, Helloween, Anthrax, Megadeth, Venom, Judas Priest, Metallica, Testament, Exodus, Manowar, etc songs/videos on YouTube then say the 80s sucked. Hair bands aka False Metal and Foreigners/Styx/REO Speedwagon mullet rock was horrible, but that decade was as great as Real Metal ever got (the 2000s had some great bands as well).

No need to search anything, those are all horrible bands.

The 80's were a giant waste of time musically. A vast wasteland. The 1980's is where rock & roll went to die. Guns & Roses sucked, but they were the band that rejuvenated R&R. The 80's were all corporate rock, Poison, Ratt, you 80's children are brain damaged dumb fucks. You have no idea what sounds good, please stick pointy things in your ears and be quiet about it.

There was actual music in the 80's but it wasn't R&R.

I'd like to hear what you consider actual music. While most of the listed bands here do or did suck, the 80's was a great decade for music as a whole.

I'm convinced people who listen to that bullshit need some attention void. Theres always gotta be that slayer/metal head at the bar who insists on playing that shit, then sit at said bar and look around as if "You notice me yet???? I like METAL! Look at me! I'm different."

My friends and I got so pissed at this ****** metalhead when it was a quiet dive bar playing that shit we overtook the jukebox and loaded up on long songs like this.
