Love 70s and 80s music. All of it... Even disco.
Was a great time for music and innovation. You hear a lot of its influence today.
I'm serious... From Summer Breeze to Run DMC, Shock the Monkey to Still of the Night, Bee Gees to Metallica.
Great years.
Kansas, Rush, Elton John, ELO, BTO, BOC, Queen, Crue, Bowie, Journey, Idol, Police, Floyd, Halen, Trick, Stones, Kiss, Accept.. Diamond, Cash, Nelson, Both Simons, Stewart, Scaggs, Hornsby, Springsteen, Clash, Fogelberg, Hall Oats, Duran, Money, England Dan, Fire Fall, Lightfoot, Chapin, Denver, Meatloaf, Collins, Santana, Fleetwood, Petty, Triumph, Van Morrison, Jennings, King, Carpenter, Elvis, Beatles, Who, Purple, Sabbath, Zepplin, Jackson, Moody Blues, Clapton, Devo, Cars, U2, Pistols, and everything in between.

What a fantastic time for music... I didn't even scratch the surface of what came out in those decades. A concert was the greatest show on earth... Lost somewhere between the Circus and the Cell Phone.

My only regret is I can't live it again. Then I realize I do... I hear it in almost every "new" song today.

This is the worst thing I have ever read. You stick up for 80's music by listing 60's & 70's artists.

My personal favorite:
"England Dan" but not John Ford Coley.

lol

lmfao truth.

I'm convinced people who listen to that bullshit need some attention void. Theres always gotta be that slayer/metal head at the bar who insists on playing that shit, then sit at said bar and look around as if "You notice me yet???? I like METAL! Look at me! I'm different."

My friends and I got so pissed at this douche metalhead when it was a quiet dive bar playing that shit we overtook the jukebox and loaded up on long songs like this.

Everyone cheered.

You got another standing ovation?

Frank Zappa was a God. How dare you mention him in an 80's music thread!

He was quite active in the 80s though, and the synclavier was a very 80s thing. So ...

Frank Sinatra was also active in the 80's. Neither one of these Franks was a product of the 80's.
Slayer was and is more typical of that fucked up decade.

Tangerine Dream was prolific during the 80's, that was when I discovered them (late to the party). Of course there are exceptions to my 80's music sucks argument.

These are terrible mini-troll attempts. Not funny, completely illogical, and quite frankly, Special person.

So quality trolling is claiming Frank Zappa was an 80's band?

This is good, now I know the grading curve, we can have a frank open and honest troll fest.

Still effecting/affecting those who want to listen even in todays youthful market. Obviously this is just an opinion.

This is probably the most cringe worthy video ever made, and quite possibly ended Billy Squier's career. Whenever I need a good laugh, I just watch this.

Sounds good. I'm willing to leave it at that. I don't like most 80's music, and you just had a stroke.
