[A] 2013 Stanley Cup Parade Scheduled For Friday

The 2013 Stanley Cup Parade will be held this Friday, according to statement released by Mayor Rahm Emanuel's office.

"The City of Chicago and the Chicago Blackhawks will celebrate the Blackhawks' Stanley Cup victory with a parade this Friday morning."

All speculation stating that the parade would be this Wednesday is incorrect, so kindly inform everyone you know. Details, such as the time and location, is unknown at this moment but should be released later on today.

In 2010, it was estimated that two million people attended the parade. Let's do it again, Chicago.

Of course.... The one day I was hoping it WOULDN'T be. 


I work at 1pm that day, so if I went I'd have to be in the beginning of the route, not the end of it where I would like to be....


Considering the fact that in 2010 I had to miss the Cubs game at Wrigley that day cause I couldn't get out of the stage audience area within the span of an hour (The game was at 1:05 or something and I didn't get out of Downtown til around 1), I'm going to have to err on the side of caution this year. </p>

I thought 2010 didn't suck one bit.  Watched the parade drive by, got lunch with the Stus and T-bird, went home.</p>


I didn't care to see all of the speeches on the stage.  It was a nice time to duck out.</p>

We're taking the Metra into the city and will probably hit a spot near the UC or just outside of the loop.</p>


I'll have to check out the parade route to determine where we're going to camp out.</p>
