I only watched about the first 30 minutes of the game and I must say that I liked the Hammer/Keith D-Pairing.

Yah I know they ran into a hot goalie and they played well overall. But you have to do better on the powerplay chances you get in games like that. You have to finish!!! No goalie should be that hot where you can't score one lousy goal on 6 pp chances (or whatever number it was). One goal was all that was needed. Niemi played lights out I agree but there were chances squandered which Niemi played no part in.
Like I said I loved the teams commitment to defence last night esp after the 2 games before. It made for some boring hockey at times but it was effective. Play like that against the Ducks and the Kings and I agree they can win the games. Bring the road trip record back up to respectability.
