god its been a while since Ive been in here. Anyway hate to rain on the any positive outlooks here but, I don't like our chances in this game, considering coming off of a loss to the Oilers and their back up...let alone not scoring a single pp on five attempts. Its games like this when you question many parts of this team.

It's a test of character. Considering the woes the Hawks have had on the special teams, wildly inconsistent play and inability to put the team out of reach in games it's a small miracle that they are still among the top teams in the league. I'd like to see them start to get their shit together, both on the special teams and solidifying the back end, as they move on to the second half of the season.

It feels weird to be whinging about them after the stellar December month they had, but I'd like to see them start dominating and winning games in convincing fashion as Boston, Vancouver, Rangers, Flyers and Detroit are doing.

JUST WIN YOU BUMS!!1

I don't think Detroit won in convincing fashion here on Sunday. Nor did they win in convincing fashion in Vancouver.

hate the lines but who can complain if we wing. Just win win win. Scott and Mayers make Carbomb a little unnecessary in the fighting role, but he would have been nice at least for this exact game. watchign those shaw videos gave me a bit of a hoftey... I like his energy.

OTL to Boston

Wins vs SJ, STL,VAN, MIN, DET, FLA, LA, NASH

PITT is the only playoff team they have played that they didn't beat.

52 out of possible 78pts (67%) isn't too shabby considering their cup year they finished at 68% of possible total points. And while this team is only going to get better when they hit their stride, I'm not sure what's to be disappointed in.

And they had every chance to beat Pittsburgh... just a dull period and not getting the lucky bounces from blowing them out.

Jimmy Hayes is awesome... he really needs to see some 1st line time if only for a game to see how it works out.

Nice little deke by Shaw in front of the net for his 1st NHL goal!!!

It's so exciting to see these kids come up from Rockford and make an impact... the future for this organization is VERY bright and will be for a long time.

Shaw has been very VERY impressive tonight... Hayes too.

Hope that goal sparks Kane.

Emery has been lights out... those 4 GA really dont tell the story of how well he's played tonight.

Why would Hossa leave him? It's 3 on 3 from the blue line in, he's shoulder to shoulder with him - then leaves him once they get to the top of the circles - the place he should never.
