The Blackhawks are still looking for their first win on this long road trip. After falling down to the Avalanche, the Hawks travel to San Jose to see if they can muster up a good sixty-minute performance against the Sharks. Crawford gets another shot in net to see if he can grab a strangle hold as the number one goalie going down the stretch. Hossa and Toews will be looking to get out of their funk also; both have been invisible during this road trip. Kane showed some flashes last game along with his line mate Stalberg.

confidence level is down esp now knowing that the flu has been flowing through the dressing room.

Wont be shocked if the losing streak extends. Will probably be one of those games where the Hawks will need incredible goalkeeping...odds of that happening are slim.

bet its a penalty riddled game also both teams getting lots of special team minutes.

Crawford is officially playing for his job. Sure he was playing for his job all year--but this time he lucked out by Emery screwing up his chance the other night against the Flames. Had Emery played well and won, Crawford would not have this opportunity and you know he is aware of that. Lets hope it lights a fire under him and elevates his game for the rest of the season. Sometimes desperation could fuel a player, sometimes it could ruin a player.

Corey is under a lot of pressure right now, something he didn't have to deal with last year... not because it wasn't there, but because I don't think he was really aware of his situation. I hope he can overcome it and just relax. You can play desperate but also stay relaxed and comfortable, if he can find a balance between desperation/comfort, play deeper in his net, and stay big, I'll have a lot of confidence that he can get the job done.

If there's one thing I think Quenneville is doing right, and has always done correctly during his time here, it's his goaltending rotation.

I think you and I are the only ones that think that. A lot of Q bashing regarding his history of goalie rotations. I too think he has done a pretty decent job at it with his time here. Has allowed goalies to fight for spots fairly and has played hot hands when hot hands needed to play. Problem right now is there is no hot hand. Sort of btw a rock and hard place he is.

Just win dammit!

Full 60 minute effort would be nice win or lose.

Don't be surprised if you see the Chicago Traphawks out there tonight and a very boring game. Hawks need a win in the worst way and wouldn't be surprised if they play some version of the trap to get it done. I expect a low scoring game if the Hawks score first.

I was expecting a boring game in the first place... the last thing we need is to lose to a backup, even... =.=

We win in a tight boring, trap game, this game will be a work on defense game...2-1 or 1-1 game that may even go into overtime.

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
I think we're going to lose:

1) Q hasn't addressed the defense before in the season; why would he start now?

2) Scott is in. He'll be lucky to get 2 shifts and 2 minutes of ice time meaning everyone else will be running ragged in the back end.

3) The flu's gonna hurt.

Christ, Allah, and Odin I hope I'm wrong.

If he gets more than 5 minutes of ice time, you never know.
