You could put orr, lidsrom, bourque, blake, robinson on d...with no goaltender - or crawford for that matter - they'd score

How many SOG when short...and what's the save percentage?

You still cannot argue that using Leddy on the PK is a good use of his talents.... I can't think of a single reason he should be out there killing penalties.

No...I don't think he should be either.

But 2 of the PP goals were shit ones that it couldve been anyone on ice.

The goaltending is pathetic. And especially on the PK...he has to make some saves. Just some.

Ill go further than Crawford just needing to to make a some saves on the PK. He actually, like all goalies in this league, has to kill a few PKs on his own. Not sure how often he has done that this season. I don't think he is capable of that..it's too bad because all teams need that some games. We don't get it.

His body language is horrible also. Complete different body language than last year. He is bothered by every puck that gets by him this year..he shook bad goals off better last season. Not sure why this has changed.

Why pay $5M for Huet when you can have the same quality for almost half that? All hail Scooter?

his confidence is shot, goaltending is all confidence. He is fighting the puck right now, he is either seeing it and fighting it, or just not seeing it well enough, which was evidence on the first goal where he was out of position trying to see the puck. Problem is with a goaltenders confidence, is it only takes one really great game, one where you get the win, and it all comes back, and Crow hasn't had that. In the past month, think of the games where he really stood on his head. The OT loss in Detroit, and the OT loss in Vancouver comes immediately to mind. I can almost guarantee that if Chicago showed up in OT for that loss in Detroit, we would have quite a few more wins right now, because Corey would have known he had single handedly won that game for us. As a goalie, it only takes one good game to get it all pouring back. Chicago lost 3-2 that game, and Corey made 40+ saves, but didn't get the win. If he got the win, he wouldn't be fighting the puck, and struggling to stay in his position. His errors lately haven't been lazy plays, or "brutal" plays, they have been problems with overanalyzing the plays, or just generally being shaky. A goalie can shake off a goal when he makes a big save, He isn't making the big save anymore. Don't even think about last season, think about earlier this season. Crow wasn't fighting the puck, and he WAS making big saves. I remember when someone would get a clean break away I just knew Corey was going to stop it. He was amazing on clean breaks. He's struggling now, but just needs one good game.

and at this point, he's going to need some help.

Only good defense can do that.... and they haven't done that all year.

That's what I mean by he will need help. Do you remember how amazing he was that game in Detroit? I guarantee if we had won that game instead of giving up after getting the one point and letting him get shelled 9-0 in shots in 3 minutes of OT, that we would not have this problem.

The confidence issues can root back to the 5-1 loss to Calgary in November, then putting him in net the next night in Edmonton, after pulling Emery, after the team had already given up, only to put Emery BACK in net. Classic Mike Keenan move by Q
