tell the mule that the goat is getting very jealous of her reading ability and that the goat so far can only read carrots

EDIT: The Goat just kicked me in the back of the head.

EDIT II: There really is a " Goat", also important... she'll understand.

First round loss to VAN (In gm 7 in OT)....who went to gm 7 of the cup finals

Hawks had 8-9 new players on a gutted roster

In the series...Lost Bolland 3gms, Seabrook 3gms, Kopecky all series, Brouwer played with 1 arm, Bickell to severed tendons...

Such a pathetic loss. They should have been ashamed.

This year...

Lost in 6gms - 5in OT to a division champion team whose goaltender was as hot as anyone in the playoffs.

Outshot the team 241 to 159 through the series, carrying the play

Lost Hossa, Shaw in the series. Toews was nowhere near healthy.

And...a few guys didn't play to their capabilities in the series - Sharp, Bolland, Kane..Crawford

Yeah...the GM is way off base to to have any confidence in his core group or wanting/expecting them to be better. They were completely "outclassed" in the playoffs.

Edited for accuracy.

Also TCD, he never ripped the Ducks.

He's asking for a vote of confidence, not to every season be the guy who is potentially going to get moved. That type of shit will **** with you on and off the ice.

How do we know he hasn't gone to the front office numerous times and stated his displeasure? Maybe this was his next step (and it wasn't that much of a shot at the organization).

OMG! YOu did your own research. Holy ****!

Yes BJ, Long term Id take Ryan, Short term Iginla would still get my nod. Sorry. Lost step of speed or not his desire to win now has got to be as high as it's ever been seeing where he is in his career.

And if Ryan had a problem or has a problem playing in Getzlafs and or Perry/Selane's shadow there he's going to have a real problem playing in Toews, Kanes, Hossa's, Sharps shadow here. If he want's to be the "go to guy" here there are several ahead of him on Talent alone. Kane has never made a similar comment about playing in anyones shadow. Stop quoting that guy! Jesus Christ.

I would have liked Parise, but for that price.....hell no. In three to four years when the Wild have not won anything, you will see another Lou case, and they both are going to want out....sorry this signing told me its not winning but the $$$$$ as usual. Im kinda glad Bowans did not move on this. Hell the Wangs were giving Suter 90 mil, and upped it by ten mil in over a few days.

Nashville, and Wings just got weaker.....love it.

Ya'll realize that when Kane and Toews come up again, they are going to both probably command that much money or higher. The cap goes up and so do salaries. 6 mil used to be paying a shitload of money. Hell give it a couple more years and Campbell's contract will look pretty good.

Sure but Kane and Toews are twice the talented players than those. IF Suter is 7.5 mil then whats Weber 10? Carle is 5.5, Seabrook is 5.5 and I'd take him over either Carle or Suter any day of the week.

Wow Carle is getting paid as much as Seabrook... Special person.

Seabrook is one of the most underrated dmen in the league... just ask Duncan Keith and that "Norris Trophy" that "he" won.

EDIT: Guess I haven't seen enough of Carle... just checked Seabrook and Carle's numbers and they are very similar. Guess I am just biased for Seabrook.

Oduya at 3.3 is a hell of a deal to Carle's 5.5mil as well

At this point...I really hope they just keep Hjarll to start the season/keep the Dgroup the same -

Seab/Keith

Oduya/Leddy

Hjarl/Brookbank

Monty

Thats not bad at all.

Push for Bernier hard - Stalberg/1st (or Prospect)

Move Frolik to a team needing to get to the floor

And...I do think Semin more and more would be an intriguing signing. I think he's got a chip/something to prove with some of the comments about him being a "coach killer". He can put up points...RH shot...Help the PP

Then go with this roster...and look to add during the season.

Sharp-Toews-Hossa

Carcillo-Kane-Semin

Bickell-Bolland-Shaw

Bollig-Kruger-Mayers

Hayes

If Saad/Morin tear up the preseason...put him with Kane/Semin...move Carbomb down. This team will be better than last for the fact it lost Bruno, OD, Lepisto, Scott...and added Shaw, Oduya, Semin...toughness in Bollig, Hayes (Shaw)

I know Doan is a popular choice...but he's really a Brouwer type (which I do like)...but 20g/20a....not a "pure" scorer...and I worry about durability and the money it would take for him to leave/move...if he'd be worth it or a bigtime let down/dissappointment.

As "inconsistant" as some say Semin is..Sharp on one line...him on the other...would make 2 pretty sick snipers. his numbers since '06-

77gms - 38g

63gms - 26g

62gms - 34g

73gms - 40g

65gms - 28g

77gms - 21g (the whole WASH team was a mess last year...) He was a +9 which was 2nd on his team

So 417gms - 187g (.45gpg)...and he's "inconsistant"

His playoff stats aren't atrocious...51gms - 15g-19a-34pts (177 shots)

Not gonna lie PMX, I hate that line-up. Kane should never play center again and Carcillo should never sniff a top-6 role. If those two guys are forced to play in those positions, Bowman is doing it wrong.

With Carcillo/Kane/Hossa...Hawks were 16-8-4

Kane in those 28 games...had 8g-23a-31pts +10

I don't mind Carcillo playing on a line with Kane or Toews mainly because if he's actually allowed to play his style of play like he was before he got the suspension/injury he can be quite effective.
