[A] Blackhawks Among Top Candidates For Zach Parise

Agreed...Our young players like Hayes, Kruger, Shaw, Olsen, and others are in the improving years, so should improve.

Also Kaner got in trouble again so may retreat to the gym again like he did the "cabbies for cups" year and this year was not the time to over-pay...I have been thinking for several days that I did not want these players at this price being asked. Am Ok having cap space to make moves after we find out who gets hurt.

LOL he has not changed his routine since he's been here.

Oh boy...

That one is going to hurt for a while...

Like a lot of what you type, I know the feeling!

If I want to win right now I take Iginla. he has experience, fire and is far more physical. If I'm going long term I probably take Ryan. Do I have to explain it to you Mr. Frolik will have better career numbers than Stahlberg?

I will grant you he has more experience but the playing with fire and physicality I don't agree with. That's how Iginla USED to play.

Yeah all Iginla has going for him is experience. And the way people talk about the Hawks, we really don't need that, we have players who have proved themselves right? That they just have to show up when it matters most. Whereas the same kind of people should, going by their (flawed) logic, say that Iginla hasn't proven himself because he hasn't won a Cup. So, it can't be both ways. Regardless of that, Iginla's not scoring 50 goals anymore, it doesn't matter that he did in the past. He's not that player anymore.

I also think it's pretty funny we have Hawks fans complaining about a player making a COMMENT. A (singular) comment about his situation with him and his team shopping him around and how he feels about it and we're judging him completely on that one comment alone and how we wouldn't take him at all because of that and that shows how immature he is and how much growing up he has to do and blah, blah,blah......when we've had a ringside seat to Patrick Kane Show for the past several years. Come on guys.

And please people don't come back at me with Iginla is how he is now or how Bouw is now because of where they play. CGY sucks but they didn't always and my contention all along is that the team is a fucking disaster precisely because they have broken their fucking backs for a decade trying to sign and trade for players and changing coaches and systems to finally get Iginla over the hump, to make it to the next level and compete NOW! for him. They get rid of one supposed locker room cancer and they still have problems then there's another supposed locker room cancer they have to get rid of and so on and so on but their problems persist. Nothing they've ever done other than the time when Savard centered for him has ever really worked as he fails to develop chemistry on a monumental level and everything and everyone else gets scapegoated out of town as a result.

It's complete fucking overreaction IMO. He's asked to be traded because for the past two seasons his name keeps relentlessly surfacing in trade rumors and suspicions of him being on the block and he's pissed and tired of it. Doesn't conventional wisdom hold that the reason player "availability" rumors likely start because of FO rumblings and leaks? There is every reason to believe that where there's smoke there's fire. It does undermine one emtionally to think your team doesn't value your work or see you as part of their future.

I would GLADLY take that so-called whiny ****** in a FUCKING HEARTBEAT! Bring it on home Bobby! LOL

Have any links to this?

I haven't seen anything but again I haven't looked either.

Plenty.... there were tweets about the whole Bobby Ryan thing during the draft last week. I think I also bitched about him in there during the rumors too.

I think he'd know if you bothered to pay attention he used to work for that organization.

lol, if I used that same logic, I have heard plenty about Kane, Skille, Foley and others that would make your head explode.

All I asked was for some articles or actual proof. I've slowly stepped away from the heresay as half the time it's a load of shit.

What they're talking about is easy enough to confirm, it's on record. It's just that in a fanbase, at least in this community, that embraces Kane as a huge part of this team, to flat out refuse to have Bobby Ryan on the team because of a COMMENT, his feelings on his situation in Anaheim, is pretty fucking silly and hypocritical. But what else is new?

Again, going off of one season is essentially pointless. I'll wait to see what happens when Frolik is used correctly and gets quality ice time.

That's the end of any Frolik talk as I don't want to derail this thread.

Iginla has a no movement clause, so asking him to leave his only NHL team he's every been with might be a tad difficult (but he may leave for one shot at the cup).

Eh, I like Ryan better because of his speed. Iginla has lost a step IMO.

If you read Bobby's comment to the paper, he's only upset about the fact that he's been tossed under the bus by Anaheim constantly with him being available or a possible trade item. He WANTS to stay with the Ducks, but he's sick of the BS trade rumors and it sounds like he hasn't been given any "vote of confidence" as the Ducks are going to keep him.

Funny thing is Jay Cutler did the same exact thing yet now everyone in Chicago LOVES him! Hindsight is 20/20...

BINGO!

I gots NO problem with poaching disgruntled QUALITY players from teams if it makes my team better. I have copped to having no scruples though so what could you expect, heh.

I typed in "Bobby Ryan locker room cancer", "Bobby Ryan cancer", "Bobby Ryan is an asshole" yet nothing of any sorts came up as him being a terrible team player.

Must I talk about what comes up when I put Patrick Kane into the google search engine?

Hint: After the 3rd link it's not about how awesome a hockey player he is...

It doesn't even matter. Just the fact that we've got people here complaining based on whatever he said in regards to his situation with the Ducks and how because of THAT he's soooooo immature, based on something like that we would or should absolutely pass on the opportunity to have a player like him on the team, it's just fucking ridiculous. It'd be ridiculous for a fan of any team to feel that way, but for a Hawks fan? Hahaha, give me a fucking break.

I don't see much issue with what Ryan said as he's just disappointed in his name always being in the trade rumors and that Murray and Co. have never stated he's unavailable like you would expect Perry and Getzlaf would. I completely understand his position.

Kanes never called out his team

Perry has

What Kane does in his private life is not of my concern

What Perry does in his private life is not of my concern

What Perry says about the people who sign his cheques and have given him everything he needs to improve his game? That's chicken shit cowardly crap and disrespectful to the owners and the fans and its selfish...he could have kept that shot btw him and the team like a real pro.

Let me know when Kane bashes this franchise infront of the press. Then I will have a turn of face on Kane.

As a player with his talents I would take Perry here. I never said he was a cancer I said he was a dick for airing his dirty laundry in public. I feel that way about anyone who turns to that cheap shit in this league past or present. My feelings towards JR turned when he did it also so don't think this is a bias Hawk ideal because it's not. I don't like that shit..owners don't like that shit..other players don't like that shit.
