No way are the Avs trading Statsny. Semin I'm torn on he's always been said to be a cancer.



Trev we'll see. He trades some of that forward depth then they lack center depth because that's what other teams want.

Players I'd like to see targeted...



Goaltending - Luongo (I know, I know...people hate him. He'd be an upgrade)....Bernier. - However, I don't see either of them trading inter-conference. I think the Hawks are stuck with hoping Crawford comes back.



Defense - Bouwmeester...Yandle. I think either would be big upgrades to the top 4



Forwards - Morrow, Ryan, Nash, Gagner....I'd take any as long as Kane isn't going the other way. I'd be ok if they got Semin (not popular...but change of scene and maybe WASH was the issue, not him? He can play/put up points and is a pure goal scorer. As good or better sniper than Sharp. Right handed shot...and likes Kane/said Crosby is over rated. Gotta count for something). Doan...if not more than 4.5 Statsny...would be a great 2nd line center fit

Also? Everyone should pretty much consider Shea Weber FOR SALE IMO! Poile has no choice. He feels like he was played because he claims Suter told him in November he would re-sign which is why he didn't trade him at TDL. Can't afford to lose Weber next offseason for nothing like what just went down.

NO! No Bouwmeester. The only D and only player I love from CGY is Giordano so it's Giordano or bust for me where Feaster is concerned. Lames can choke on that contract because Bouw has WAY underperformed there since FLA. If folks thought The Ginger contract was too much WTF are they gonna think of Bouw making that coin and underperforming? At least The Ginger post-1st season earned his UFA-based overpaid coin. I'd do Yandle though for the $5 mil per of his contract---big, young, gets his points, and in terms of injuries is like fucking Teflon

No. My point is that Giordano has blossomed and shone through the loserliness. His game has done nothing but improve IMO. And he works and seems to have competitive spirit. . .not so with those two IMO. He's a hustler---I love his game.

Weber is THE PRIZE whenever he goes on the trade blocks in the immediate future. I still hold to my song I have been singing for a while in wanting Gagner and Bernier which I think are actually "doable". Then just pick up some capable but not star D. In my dreams I still want Bobby Ryan to come to us. . .or Evander! LOL



ETA: What I mean by capable D is no one who likely hurts us---after all next year's overall UFA D crop is stronger than the past two years I believe.
