and...people complained about Campbell's contract, and complain about Hossa's contract, and Huet's contract. WTF do they think Suter or Parise are asking???

If they do it, (sign both) we will say goodbye to a significant player, not the usual tradebait (Hammer, Stalberg, Frolik, Monty ect....) IMO.

I think this might be the case as well. Fire Haviland first, and it makes it harder to fire Q....

See that I don't agree with. As much as I'm not in the Stan camp I do believe this is Q's chance. If he fails, he's gone. But, they owed him that I suppose.

You are assuming Hossa can play. Again I throw that out there because if they are throwing this type of money is being chucked on the table, something is up. We'll see if he attends the conventon. I heard he is not and if that's the case it will be the first, with one of them him needing or having surgery.

Exactly, he hasn't responded to me yet. Called that liar out and he's gone hiding, go figure.

Again he's a douche but if they knock off Hjarlmarsson and Hossa is done, that would explain quite a bit.

Isn't it likely that it's based on "technicality" + the most important factor which are the cap hits? Technically the cap (for now) is $70.2 mil + teams can be 10% over until September. Hawks have $8 mil in space now + $7 mil they can be over temporarily while they dump stuff and sort themselves out so $15 mil. If you send the two-wayers to Rockford you're up to $19 mil "technically". It's not incorrect to speculate the Hawks could do it.

The problem isn't that they can technically pull it off... the problem is that he stated that they MADE significant offers to both tonight, which is false. He blocked me on Twitter so I know hes full of shit.

Thought Stan said during a presser a week or two ago that Hossa is on the mend and expected to be healthy and attend training camp.

The 60's Hawks with Stosh and Bobby. From 59/60 to 67/68. Hull or Mikita won every art Ross save 2.

The Habs of the late 50's were LOADED.

The Bruins of the early 70's with Esposito and Orr.

That's when scoring 20 goals in a season meant something.

My comment were....the "two best in the league"...meaning now. Not Toe Blake/Eddie Shore talk...

And that's a whole different debate when it comes to era's

Again what's he going to say? After watching that hit live, I'll believe it when I see him take the ice.

I thought it was Q in PIT at the Draft but I could be mistaken.

Stan said it but when I believe anything managment says in this Organization will be the first time. I used to believe them but that was when real hockey people were running the show.

Jaeckel is still a moron.

If they managed somehow to land both....

Hjarll, Montador, Frolik leaving would make them fit - even if they signed for 8mil per -

That whole thing revolved around the NHL and NHLPA. While I agree with you 100% they can not afford a lock out and must work together. If 4 lousy games get them back to work or shows one side or the other they can converse and get something done, so be it.

That said if hes done so should Torres and you can bet the reaction will be an out cry for sure. Either way there has to be a reason they are throwing out all this money. You make an offer you have to expect to get the person, so that said where the fuck do they get 14 mil in cap space from 8? Even if they traded Hammer you are still 3.5 short. Something is going on.

You trade the much salary with nothing coming back but draft picks and prospects? Stan would have to be a real GM for that!

seriously....and then we could hear the people who want both whine about the contracts..... and all the capgeek stuff is only assuming that the organization doesn't have an internal cap on their salaries......

OK I am not undewrstanding what your beef is here. You believe they made and offer to Suter right? A reporter from the NJ Ledger tweeted hrs. ago his story that CHI supposedly made a large $ mega years offer to Parise so why couldn't it be possible they went all in for both in order to get one, both or none?

No, I don't believe they made an offer to Suter. Kicked tires, sure, but there is no "offer" out there like Jaeckel says.
