Question is, will people be disappointed and call it a day if they don't make a move? I expect them to do something, but things could fall through or get out bid, lot's of stuff.

Really, there aren't many options. I think theres a good possibility that teams get shut out at the deadline, like Mass said. Some teams will go home disappointed, I just hope we aren't one of them.

Hurts when four of the "elite teams" including the Hawks, have a shit load of cap space and can ALL use the same stop gaps. We'll see just what pull Stan has and who exactly is still pissed off about this organization shitting on Tallon. Not convinced the good ole boy group is over that one yet, or will ever be as long as McClown is still here. Somethings remain for a LONG time!

That's a good point that I haven't thought about yet is who all has cap space. Anyone got numbers on space for contenders? I am on my phone.

Interesting, never heard anything on Morrison but I thought Connelly would get moved:

Brian Connelly seems to be gaining interest around the league as his career grows, he may never get a chance in Chicago so it may be the perfect opportunity to move him while his value is high.

Any Brendan Morrow interest?

**** you..... i got trolled by the title of the trade thread it said "Hawks acquire Brendan Morr....".... **** YOU!!!!!!!!!

That being said.... yes, I would love Brendan Morrow.... he is a beast and I have said it many times.

But he CANNOT leave Dallas because Jamie Bennlik must finish his Hart Trophy campaign first.

Hawks need D.

If they were to make the finals as is, they would get destroyed by the Bruins and there physical play.

Don't tell Rk but hits dont matter.

>=D

Not when you are putting the puck in the net. And I'm not getting started in this argument again with you asswipe. I also don't agree they'd be "destroyed by the Bruins". Thats one opinion from a guy that can't even find a fucking picture.

Seriously? Because I did a quick google search of Patrick Kane Alternate captain? Sorry, I don't have all day and night to look up something I couldn't care less about.

I won't get involved on the hits discussion again because my point was already proven when the top two physical teams PLAYED FOR THE STANLEY CUP last year. Interesting also how after the Stanley Cup the Hawks went out and signed some PHYSICAL GRINDERS (Carcillo, O'Donnell when a guy runs into him, Mayers, Montador).

Bullshit your point was proven during the finals and for not Sharp missing the shot one of those teams wouldn't have been there. And th Canucks did not lose because they were out hit there Trev, they lost because TIM THOMAS stood on his head. Check out his trophy!

The Hawks replaced some physical players, but they were OUTHIT in EVERY FUCKING SERIES during the Cup run, but ONE. Go look it up, if you can find the time in your "busy" schedule since you are such a "Stat freak". And the pciture I Found in in a few seconds because I pay attention and knew he wore it.

Seriously, the insults really get old after a while. It makes having a discussion with you pointless because your either an "idiot, asshat, moron, dumbass, etc" if you go against the grain of what RK says.

Being a physical team matters in hockey. Being out hit in a series isn't the issue, its about matching the other teams physicality and the Canucks couldn't do it and YES, Tim Thomas played extremely well, but Boston was able to get The Sedins and others off their games because they played them physical. The Hawks looked soft last playoff series and I wasn't the only person to say it. And this could-of-would-of-should-of BS is a joke and if we are going to use that then if it weren't for the Wild winning the Hawks would never of had the chance to play in that series.

I don't remember who the sports writer was, but he stated that if you watch how the two teams in the SC finals play, other teams in the NHL take notice and try and follow their plan. Two physical teams (especially Boston) and some teams started to try and add a bit of that style (I.E. my example about the grinders/grit we signed in the offseason).
