That's a tad optimistic. I think the Hawks will go through the regular season without getting a single shutout.

Always have fun with a Orig 6 game, no matter who the two teams are.

Who wins?

I will simply pray to Master of All He Surveys, Lord Brooks, to give the boys some fire. Just play some damn hockey.

I watched the Laffs play the Panthers last night...the Leafs got down 2-0 very early on miscues and then out-played the Panthers the rest of the way for the most part and lost by that same 2 goal margin, 5-3.

Both the Panthers and Leafs looked like they were playing better fundamentals than us (but did have some hiccupps) though so I'd say this is anybody's game. If we take advantage of Leafs mistakes we win. If we don't...looks like a lot of people on this thread jump out of windows. I'll jump out my basement window.

Line-up tonight.

Big changes, Bollig in, Shaw in, Frolik scratched, OD with Keith, Olsen/Leddy together, Kane with Hossa.

I lost all faith at the trade deadline. Not getting a short or long term replacement for Crawford was a major, major mistake. We will be lucky to make the palyoffs with this pair protecting the net. Fire Bowman, this was his greatest blunder....ever!

Good second period by everyone. I hope emery gets the rest of the season as number 1. Its time to pick a goalie and ride him.

Much betteruya period by oduya.

Leddy is also having an outstanding 2nd and 3rd. Most noticeable hawks blueliner tonight. Good to see.

He better be Fucking okay...if not then its really hard to see the hawks making the playoffs. Last thing this team needs right now is leddy hurt

Much better effort by the Hawks in the second period. The third was just ok. I was a little pissed with Sharp a few times in the third when he was trying to skate through the D and not getting the puck deep when he had opportunity. It was nice to see Kane come back to life, he had a great game as well as did Hoss.

Emery is our number one going forward and should be the backup to Miller next year.

Miller Schmiller, I am not sure who will be available in the summer but we do need a number one goalie, and I do not think we possess one at the time.

Just threw Millers name out there for the sake of a name.

No to Miller, paying $6m to your goalie isn't a solid strategy. What if Crawford is just having that dreaded sophomore slump and he'll be back to his solid self next year again? There are some options for goalies available as UFA's next off-season; Vokoun, Harding, Nabokov, Emery (again)...

I agree, like I said, I kinda used Miller's name as a place holder.

Yes, I feel shame.

Why should you feel shame on making a suggestion that most people aside from here would agree on. As I do think Crawford will be back in net next year. I also think that next year if he is still playing like this with a better team in front of him...he will be gone by the deadline for sure. I alone would love to have Miller next year he is an elite goalie, a glimps of what he could be and was prior to whats happening with the buffalo, last night he had a shut out with a 43 same game against the Ducks. Miller >Crawford and I don't give a rat's ass if you all agree with me or not. In this league as much as you need a good D. you need a great goalie too to bail you out of the days when the D sleeps and the Hawks have plenty of those days.

Its the price tag and cap hit that make Miller less palatable.
