We'll see how we get through the next three games. Very tough opponnents for each and in their buildings.

Emery in Ottawa, he'll be jacked up for that one. Crawford in Detroit he plays well against them. Let those two battle for the St. Louis game.

When this team takes their head out of their ass they should be more than capable of beating Ottawa and St. Louis regardless of whether Toews plays or not, although it'd sure be nice to have a center who can score.

And you'd be right. Q is more at fault for this mess they are in than anyone IMO. His coaching for the most part, has sucked.

And that first goal was really bad. You can't let those up.

oh I agree. Crow wasn't expecting the give away. I've been in that situation a lot, but it's something you have to be ready for. I still think that's the only "fault" goal though, but again, we both had different angles of the third goal.

when Hammer heals up i'd like to see Olsen sent down to season himself a little bit better, dominate with what he's learned by being thrown in without a paddle and get into even better shape and skating skill for next year to make the team out of camp. For now, i like Lepisto and Leddy on the last pairing.

Now that he is finally getting some games and his legs under him Lepisto isnt playing so rusty.

Bolland didn't exactly play that puck AT ALL on the first goal behind the net either.

Someone want to tell me why Schenn didn't get an extra two for fighting with his visor?

Or how when Shaw doesnt' TOUCH Gustavsson he gets GTI then they TRIP Emery, get nothing?

Not that the PP would help us but holy ****, call it right!

if it's Olsen or OD, I'll take Olsen any fucking day of the week. Sending him down to a shitty Rockford team might just toy with his confidence.

they never call the "fighting with a visor" penalty anymore It's a joke. That's how Dion pussy Phaneuf gets to fight and keep his head down when he does, because his visor goes down to his fucking bottom lip.

My buddy who is a Canucks fan texted me after that fight and said "Schenn did a really good job in that fight! He blocked every one of those punches with his face!"

the GTI call was because Shaw clipped him with his elbow. I understand the call, though didin't agree with it since Gus reached his head out in the lane. EIther way, I don't think Shaw should have gotten the extra 2 for roughing.

And the missed GTI call on Emery was BS.

Frankly I really hope we don't see OD the rest of the year. I know that we will see him again, but I can hope. Lepisto is getting better. He saved the game tonight. Not to mention he can actually skate. Leddy looked good tonight, that hit at the end was nasty.

See I just watched the replay and just like the game I thought Gus dove. 100%.

The hawks were just penalized for the visor thing a few games ago I thought.

And Phaneuf is a cheap shot artist. No question. Oh I forgot the interference on Kruger not called as well. He was crushed into the boards, problem is he no longer had the puck.

I was working last night, but who was fighting with a visor? I hate when people scrap with them on. If you wanna wear a visor, take off the helmet like they do in the minors.

Montador got one earlier this year. I don't remember who they were playing.

Schenn had his visor on the entire fight. Should have been a penalty.

Oh sorry late you meant from the Hawks, I can't remember but I know we've gotten a penalty for that this year. Schenn wanted to fight he should have taken it off.

The visor thing is only if the refs asess you an instigator. So you'd get 5 for Fighting, 2 for Instigating, 2 for Unsportsmanlike Conduct.

From the NHL rulebook:

46.6 Face Protection - If a player penalized as an instigator of an altercation is wearing a face shield (including a goalkeeper), he shall be assessed an additional unsportsmanlike conduct penalty. Should the player (including a goalkeeper) who instigates the fight be wearing a face shield, but removes it before instigating the altercation, the additional unsportsmanlike conduct penalty shall not apply.

I agree, anyone who wears one should take it off.

I liked Bollig and Shaw. Now if they could exchange Frolik for Olezs.

R K you make me laugh again. Gustavsson lunges his head into Shaw's elbow? LOL

I did not agree with the penalty so much as Shaw was being harrassed by the D man and did not have full control; but to say he didn't touch him is a bit silly.

I just watched it twice I don't think he elbows him. I think he goes right by and Gus just flops like a fish. But you know I'm a bit silly.

In no way was it as clear as the one on Emery not called.

It was both a GTI penalty by Shaw AND an Embellishment by Monster. Too bad the refs only called GTI.

Thanks a lot Lucic you douchebag.

Fun Game to be at. Craw....well Craw looked like Crawford. I think he has some major issues he needs to deal with. I don't know if signing that contract got him all screwed up in the head making him think he needs to live up to the contract. Oduya played great once he was put with Leddy, I think he will be good. I don't see him being switched from there. That call on Shaw was horrendous I mean what a fucken dive by the goalie...that was some loud ass boing when they showed the replay. Another call was the boarding, in the third, don't know if anyone caught that along the side boards. This game could have easily gone 7-2 Hawks if we put the puck in the open net.....(BRUNETTE) and if Emery had started. It was cool talking to some leafs fans really down to earth fans. Other then that not the best hockey, but 2 points is 2 points and this with half of the team being called up. Great future ahead of us.

My favorite teams
 1. Portland Timbers
 1. Chicago Blackhawks
Yeah, Craw...part of me is really hoping he pulls a Howard or a Price next year coming off his Soph. slump because he's proven that he's better than this.

The only worry I have is the the team will getcomfortable with Emery backstopping them. It seems to be a theme where they lay better with the backup and mail it in with the normal starter. The real test IMHO is 5 game from now or so.

As for the rest, Glad Kane showed up. Glad Hossa's back to form, Glad Bollig got the drop on Schenn, Glad Emery made the tough saves (he'll need to keep that up), glad Oduya started to find his form, and glad Bickell utterly pasted Celine Dion.

We won, and broke the 5-game skid. Gotta keep the wins coming.
