If Jordan love is even decent, the roster is actually pretty good.
If you isolate out each team's respective quarterback situation I would honestly rather have the Bears roster than the Packers roster. That offensive line without NFL-sanctioned license to hold every down is not that great, plus now its minus Corey Linsley.

Their oline is unquestionably better until ours actually shows anything, they have the best wr while our depth might be a little better, they have the best rb, they have the best TE, they have a much better secondary, and our front seven is likely better but they have a good pass rush

There's a shot down memory lane with a Mike Lombardo reference.

Last time I critically read something he put out there was back in 2017 when he said Doug Pederson was the least qualified head coach in the NFL.....

You know, the same year the Eagles won the Superbowl.....

Anyway, I'm sure this isn't just click bait for him to pretend to be relevant.

"It's tough because you have so much time invested in one place and you've done so much for one place, you just kind of hope to see that respect reciprocated. And when it doesn't work out exactly how you want, you have issues like this. Honestly, I got no expectations, man. I’m just being supportive of my guy."

Davante Adams interview on 5/11/21 when asked about Erin Rodgers from Joe Rivera of Sporting News.

Yeah, that sure sounds like someone who dislikes him. How about his left tackle Bakhtiari?

"As time goes on, this will sort itself out and everybody will know. For me, I care about Aaron Rodgers, from a friend perspective. ... I will never hold any grudge against him. That is my friend, that is someone I have appreciated, and he's done a lot for this organization and a lot for me as an individual"

I can feel the scorn from that guy...

Oh--the comments about how many people dislike Rodgers are from a former executive/talking head for SI and Espen (with podcasts) in Brandt?

Carry on, meatballs.

Fuck altruism. It's perfectly acceptable to pile-on and gloat about the troubles of the Bears' biggest rival (a team lucky enough have consecutive Hall of Fame QBs).

There's nothing to gloat about though. Rodgers and the Packers have still shit on the Bears religiously to the point where a lot of people don't even consider this a rivalry anymore. This is like when the Lions troll shows up to talk shit even though his team is the most embarrassing franchise in pro-sports.

This team and its fans haven't earned the right to gloat.

I agree on Lombardo...As far as I can tell, he has no connection to the packers organization, and zero inside intel.

I believe he's just a clickbait artist, and nothing more. He's just another Florio.

Yeah, but do you remember when he used to legit break stories? I totally recall that, but it seems all his connections faded away.

Looking at his executive career there's a gap:

So from 2007 to 2014 he was breaking stories while he still had connections. I'm guessing after many of his former peers retired he didn't put in the work to know who can provide creditable info for what team.

That's how it was in reverse pre-Farve. There wasn't really a rivalry. The Packers were our whipping boys. Gloating then just felt like beating up babies or something. No satisfaction in it. The Packers were just SAD. a complete joke. The Bears were a "real" team. Basically what I'm saying is that it flipped and it will flip again, and either we don't have the right to gloat, or we just don't want to because it's just so sad and pathetic. About the only thing I haven't seen in my lifetime, is the one situation where it would feel GOOD to gloat. Beating them when we are both good teams at the same time.

Hopefully we can feel that the next 15 years

I hate Rodgers but what have they done to help him? Have they ever drafted a WR? Or gotten a TE?

Tampa Bay gave more to Tom Brady in 2 months than Green Bay gave to Rogers in 15 years to win a super bowl. Things have slowly been growing worse for the relationship but Brady winning the super bowl because Tampa Bay believed in him was the final nail in the coffin for Rogers.
