I just want to find a way do end the destructive ghetto culture. If that's racist, so be it.

Again, so how does that differentiate from a military member being tested?
I see it just like your opinion on private vs. public schooling. I do not see a difference. If a U.S. citizen wants to receive federal and state funded benefits provided by the tax payers then they should be required to agree to certain limitations. You call it a right that they not be "searched" for drugs whereas I see at as a stipulation of asking for those benefits. You don't want to be screened then you need not apply. That is your right to say no and by doing so you deny yourself said benefit.
Slippery slope.
Exactly!
Once you decide that the Constitution doesn't protect certain folks. Watch out, you'll be next.
Larmer hits the nail on the head as usual. You trample the Constitution where do you stop. You can't have it both ways and you can't be a Hypocrit about it.
Where public safety is involved I completely understand, while still not 100% agreeing with it. Schools, public aid, ect ect... **** off. Person = Urine and or hair...
Further more if you are going down that road you better damn well classify Alcohol as a narcotic. Because there are far to many alcoholics recieving public aid. See what I did there?
Alcohol is not illegal.
Alcohol is not illegal.
Alcohol is not illegal.
The narcotics they are testing for are.
Nor is being poor.
Here we have Luis Lebron, a Navy veteran who swore to uphold and defend the Constitution while defending our country. He's raising his son by himself, taking care of his elderly disabled mother, and is now asking for some assistance while he finishes up his education.
The state of Florida is not only asking this guy to violate the Constitution, the same Constitution he took an oath to defend while in the Navy, they also have the unmitigated gall to charge him $35 to do it. Apparently, the US Constitution doesn't mean jack shit to these Florida politicians.
This Navy veteran - refusing to violate the Constitution - is a patriot, the Florida politicians - happy to violate the Constitution they also swore to uphold - are scoundrels.
"I felt like, I served my country for four years; doesn’t that mean anything anymore?"
[Lebron] meets all the criteria for assistance but has refused to waive his Fourth Amendment rights against unreasonable search and seizure and submit to the newly required drug test.
“I served my country, I’m in school finishing my education and trying to take care of my son,” Lebron said. “It’s insulting and degrading that people think I’m using drugs just because I need a little help to take care of my family while I finish up my education.”

So, since you seem educated in this area, are you against the concept of giving drug tests to those looking
for state subisidies?
This the part I love all the people that talk about their love for smaller government support this expansion of government power.
As we have discussed previously on here, my daughter's private high school does random drug screenings for all its students, not just athletes. When you send your child there you sign a document stating such. I enjoy that and will tell you that it is one of the many things I appreciate about private schooling. Second week of freshman year she was chosen to have a screening done.

You may appreciate it now. Down the road your daughter may look back on this and think: "Did my dad even trust me growing up? Did he also search my room, read my diary, monitor my email to make sure I wasn't doing anything else he didn't approve of? If I can't trust him, who can I trust?"
Hell my old man knew I was smoking pot in highschool. Apparently I turned out pretty well without the huge parental screw and or the Highschool stealing my piss.
