Completely normal and totally natural response to the question. Eberflus has the normalest of responses to all Alan Williams question, reporters walk in and say "wow! what a normal response to that question."
you could see the fear in his eyes like at his intro presser where someone asks him and Poles about having the same agent.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bears
The thing is, if Alan Williams is under federal investigation, regardless of whatever it is, we aren't going to find out for a while if he is connected to something larger. We won't know until that investigation in the whole operation concludes.

Please dont presume to know my experience or expertise. You have no idea what I do.

1. I said they may have been told to shut up. I never claimed they were enjoined. If there is an ongoing investigation and law enforcement says shut up, you may do it not because you are required to do so but because you defer to law enforcement when it comes to active investigations. It is best not to piss off law enforcement if you dont have to.

2. Sorry but just because you would be fine accepting emails from employees doesnt mean others advising them would. That is just absurd. You are passing off your preference as gospel. There are plenty of lawyers that would advise not to comment on matters not already made public based on an honor code especially if there are concerns others could be involved.

3. It would be stupid to break a news story that Williams is accused only for it to turn out Williams doesnt get charged. The only time you break that news to get ahead of it is if you know charges are imminent. Nothing has happened for 2 or 3 days now. So you are advocating prematurely ejaculating all over the media a story that may die. Further this is why you may defer to law enforcement on Point 1 above as they may then be more inclined to give you a heads up when charges are imminent so you can get ahead of it when it makes sense to do so.
I guess I'm an idiot for continuing to engage with you on this topic. I really just can't help myself from correcting this bullshit even though I know you will never admit that you're wrong.

1) Law enforcement agencies do not bully multi-billion dollar corporations around like that. The company will absolutely be free to issue a face-saving press release that doesn't disclose any information about the agency's investigation without having to worry about who they will "piss off." You don't know what you're talking about.

2) Plausible deniability is a real legal concept that is an important part of preparation for any potential litigation. Emails from employees denying personal knowledge of alleged misconduct are extremely important. And those emails aren't even necessary to issue a press release because press releases aren't sworn statements! You don't know what you're talking about.

3) Charges are irrelevant. Individuals and corporations are held liable for damages for misconduct that never result in criminal charges all the time. You don't know what you're talking about.

There is no bottom. There is no floor.
Bears fans simply are not grasping this. The Bears are league worst basically everywhere. Worst offensive line, worst defensive line, worst quarterback, worst secondary, worst tight ends, worst head coach, worst general manager, worst director of scouting, worst offensive coordinator. Literally thirty-second out of thirty-two teams at all those, and none of its is even slightly improving. A majority of the Bears starting players are not even worthy of a decent teams practice squad. The only improvement they have seen on the entire roster is at defensive coordinator, where they went from having the worst defensive coordinator to none at all.

The Beras have one good player, it cost them first overall to get him via trade, and one decent safety with some potential who already hates it in Chicago and is actively trying to run himself out of town.

Everyone else is worthless.

I really don’t know when this franchise will hit rock bottom.
Sadly it appears that the McCaskey families vile, putrid genes only deteriorate as time as goes on and they are passed down generation to generation.

Our only hope really is a plane crash, but there's so fucking many of them that no single plane can hold them. You would need to have half the McCaskey family in one 747 and the other half in another 747 and for those two planes to collide midair.

They're selling once Virginia dies. Almost 101. We just have to be patient but something tells me she's going to be in Guinness for living to 140.

The Bears org never thought anyone would use common sense to start asking obvious questions because the bears org has no common sense themselves. The last paragraph of the quick article brings up the leave of absence issues

So he quit before he got fired with cause. Way to cause a PR nightmare Bears.
I said this days ago. To allow him to resign when its obv something bad is not a good look as an org. but you know the Bears, have to be mysterious about literally everything because its less ammo for criticism. They literally have no clue what they're doing with anything. Blow it up.

doesn’t sound bad enough to lose draft picks over. Too bad for top 10 prospects you have a strong chance of being drafted to this shit hole

Something really doesn't feel right here. Inappropriate but not criminal?

THAT is what had all the reporters scared shitless to say anything?

NOT buying that.
