So I've been watching a lot of NatGEO and Discovery. They have really been focusing a lot of the rural living in Alaska.
My favorite show is Alaska: The Last Frontier. It shows all things from the inuit style tribal living, to people on a homestead to true living in the woods.
I think it's way better and informative than the useless American sitcoms that have been mentioned in this very forum.
Maybe if kids learned how to tie a knot instead of playing angry birds on their phones this planet wouldn't be in such dire straits.
