I don't know. . .your ass is blind? :p

Alls I can tell you is that things shown on Blackhaws TV typically are available to view later on the site so I would imagine they will have the scrimmages in the archives.

Also? GO IGOR!!! What a scrimmage game he's had this afternoon. Morin and Gilbert in the morning scrimmage too!

Technically my ass can't see, yes you are correct :)

Yeah I was watching the feed but it just wasn't good, probably my computer but the video was too "unsmooth" for me... so I turned it off saw Toews penalty show and Makarov's weak ass goal on Simpson (Simpson sucks not Igor's fault)...

Wait. So you're not some utter freak of nature with an ass-based third eye? Damn! Eh, admittedly I had to hedge my bets and roll with my original hunch---sometimes you lose. :p

But back to the Hawks---agreed, Simpson DOES suck.

Not to pile on, but I hated when we drafted Simpson and he still hasn't changed my mind. Not sure what the organization sees in him but he may be the worst goaltending prospect we've drafted in a long time. I keep on saying it but we should have signed Calvin Heeter!

Makarov is the real deal though, Morin is really bumping himself up the organizational depth chart -- better and better every time I watch him.

Watched the scrimmages on the site and Makarov is really gunning for a position on the big team for game 1 and I really can't see a reason not to have him make the team, but camp just started and much can happen. But so far from all I've read about his showings and now seen, he looks like he could be the real deal.

I am actually an utter freak of nature, just no ass-based third eye! I think you bet is probably a push at this point.

According to John Scott, he does not ENJOY getting punched in the face like Adam Burish.

Heeter isn't going to sign with anyone right now and I'm sure he's got the hawks attention but he's playing at Ohio State meaning we can't sign him because he'd be ineligible. Let him finish his years at OSU and go after him

Looking for info now...

Beach says he'd be disappointed if he'd be sent to Rockford but he understands it's an opportunity to work on some things and prove he belongs. He was asked about his maturity and he said he's had some bad run-ins in the past but this past season he matured a lot in Spokane.

Bowman says that Beach will be on the team if he fits under the salary cap. He said he'd rather him play in Chicago but as a first year pro if he makes the team he needs to play full-time minutes and if that's not possible he'll have to be in Rockford to ensure he gets maximum ice time.

Apparently Makarov scored twice and had an assist in the scrimmage and looked ridiculous.

Makarov was everywhere. Always in position, great on the backcheck, flying all over the ice. He was pretty physical as well. He was pretty much the best Black squad player today, and arguably the most impressive player out there for both scrimmages. I was quite impressed with Morin as well. Kid has really good vision and some good wheels. It seemed like he was ALWAYS open for the puck, and he had the puck on his stick constantly. Stalberg looked quite good out there as well. Has a really strong stride, and was flying around and hitting quite a bit. Made several really nice plays out there. Pirri was another player I noticed quite a bit, though his lack of size was pretty evident.

Nothing else much of note to report for me, except, you can tell DiDomenico is coming off an injury. Just did not look comfortable out there on his skates, was a step behind most of the time, and really seemed to struggle with his skating and balance. Hopefully it will come back to him.

I was really surprised by Scott's skating ability, btw. Usually you see big men like him looking awkward out there and plodding around. He was actually a really smooth skater, and looked pretty good back there on defense. I guess he's been working on his skating all summer, and it really showed. An upgrade over Boynton, IMO. Hendry also looked pretty damn good back there.

P.S. I couldn't tell Beach was on the ice most shifts.

Well one thing is apparent after watching some of the Toronto rookie tournament last week and now even just this first day of TC and that is---whether likely or unlikely---Makarov, Morin, and Gilbert are playing like kids who want to make the team. . .BAD! AHL, NHL---in the end it's ALL good stuff one way or the other for the Hawks now and in the future. It's obviously early yet but just looking at their play objectively the past 10 or so days says they gotta be making an impression on the Hawks brass and coaching staff.

Also? HOLY CRAP but it was sweet to finally see even just flashes of all that badass blazing Stalberg speed. . .in the Indian head! Crikey but the guy goes from 0 to 50 in a snap! He was okay and while he didn't do any one thing particularly today to impress me. . .the speed people---it *is* dazzling and leaves one a little awed.

In all the years I regularly attended Prospect Camp there were only two other offensive players that impressed me more than Makarov.

Toews and Kane.

He has the tools no doubt about it. Can he stay healthy and keep determined.

Both he and Morin looked very good in the Toronto Tourney. Anyone saying this Club has depth problems doesn't know this club.

I really don't see any reason for Makarov to be left off the big club this year. He is a man amongst boys out there with the other prospects, and better than almost all of our Rockford regulars. He and Brouwer were going at it a little bit out there. Was awesome to see him not back down at all.

I forgot to mention this before, but Skille looked pretty good out there as well. He was strong along the boards with the puck, and has a really heavy wrister. Good wheels, and it looks like he has improved his puck handling. I think Makarov and Skille are pretty much locks for making the team right now, just based on their physical tools, but what do I know.

It's only one day of a two week Camp. Just wait and see where it goes.

Personally I agree with you though as he's the real deal. No doubt about it. Plus it will give me some time to pat my back if he does what I think he can do.

Serious tools. No lie.

I readily admit I was worried about what he would look like this summer after languishing away from under-use over in the KHL. God, his TOI numbers were frightening. So, so, SO relieved when it became apparent this summer he hadn't lost a step since he was last here. **** the KHL and their bs de facto ice time deference to vets! The Hawks are very lucky IMO that his development wasn't set back by those bastards.
