He's not coming back unless the Bears overpay for him.

I knew his plans were leaving when after the game they asked him about if he wanted to re-sign with Chicago and he said he feels like over the last 356 days there was plenty of time to figure that out. Either way we get pretty good compensation for him but would be nice to get him to agree to let us sign and trade him if we can find the right team for him and the right return which needs to be better than the 3rd round comp pick we'll get if we just let him walk.

He’d be a stud on the bills. Diggs, brown and a Rob. I can see him going back to Jacksonville though.

FWIW - They are salivating over him in NYC:

Now that the Bears’ season is over, wide receiver Allen Robinson seems to be on his way out of Chicago — and that could be good news for the Jets or Giants.

The free agent told reporters on Monday — a day after Chicago was eliminated from the playoffs in a 21-9 loss to New Orleans — that the Bears had a year to sign him to an extension and didn’t do it.

“I personally feel like we had an opportunity to be able to get something done over the past 365 days,” said Robinson, who had vented his frustration on social media during the season.

The 27-year-old had another outstanding season, finishing with 102 catches for 1,250 yards and six touchdowns despite the Bears’ issues at quarterback, where Mitchell Trubisky and Nick Foles both underwhelmed.

Robinson, coming off a three-year, $42 million deal with the Bears, would be one of the top free agents available and both local teams could use some help in that area.

The Giants could move on from Golden Tate, while neither Sterling Shepard nor Darius Slayton stood out in 2020.

The Jets make a ton of sense for him.

They would be ignorant to not use the franchise tag. They would have leverage for a deal and/or trade + comp pick Fully expect Pace to fuck this up if he's back.

strange that a top WR with no attitude problems would be available for a second time in free agency before age 28

Just tag him obviously, it’s an absolute no brainer. Why get even worse than we already are when we could keep one of our best players? There won’t be anyone as good and if there was they wouldn’t be any cheaper than him. Who else do we need the tag for?

They have to clear cap space first, it's a fully guaranteed contract once it's applied, so that money has to be available on the books. It will take some time, they have until March.

So what. We can find a little cheaper just as an effective replacement who does not loaf on plays that the ball does not go to him. Look back at the tape, he is the sole reason Mooney did not play against the Saints. If he blocks Amos after Mooney catches it as he should have, Amos does not get that hit on Mooney

$20M receiver with a 2 cent QB won't get us anywhere. Better just let him walk unless you have a real plan to field a real qb

Minnesota had a very good offense and one of the worst defenses in the league. They also have a pretty bad cap situation and probably a top 5 WR combo in the league. Pretty much zero chance they get AR.

I didn’t know their cap situation to be honest. Just thought that he’d be a great fit as they would have 3 dynamic playmakers at WR featuring Jefferson and Robinson.

Thielen has been a red zone beast and big play guy.

the defense is injured. It’s not a bad defense.

Why not?! Both of those make sense.

I really like pairing him with Herbert though.

So Robinson’s agent has said he will not play next year?

Who? I am not doubting you, but who will be a cheaper and more effective replacement?

And after his previous season, I don't believe there is a way to "overpay" him. Hes 100% worth 18-20m. He will get that, if not more, in FA.

Bears can also franchise tag him for 16m if they want, which I can 100% see them doing.

LOL, you can't defer any of the 2021 Cap number when you use the tag though...........In other words, that chit ain't happening, Another MS. Adows Fail.
