You're making this more difficult than it needs to be. He is tradeable, but the Bears might not get proper value for him. Either way I don't believe he gets traded.

So what do you think we would realistically get for him now? maybe a 5th rounder with an option if he catches a pass in the Super Bowl the pick gets upgraded to a 3rd?

Ridiculous. My friends dads friend works with the bears and said they're already in talks with multiple teams (more than 3) to move alshon before the deadline. I wouldn't be suprised to see alshon traded for a 3rd or 4th. Which would be a good return on a player that's literally ALWAYS injured and can't stay on the field

I wouldn't trade him for a 3rd or 4th round pick and wouldn't even think about it. The kid will get healthy and when he does is a #1 WR in the NFL or the best #2 WR in the NFL.

I also think there is less than a 1% chance he is traded If you want to say that makes him untradeable... technically that is a false statement but if you use common sense it is understandable. I personally think we should try to lock him up for the next 4-5 years before the end of the season.

Holey shit dude your CRAZY! He not a top 5 player at his position Im not even sure if he is a top 10 at his position and he will only have 8 weeks left on his contract! I don't think there is a chance in hell you would get a 3rd round pick for him.

If the bears are shopping him they most likely are looking for a 5th round pick from a team that is a contender THIS YEAR.. so that would be a bottom of the 5th round. This is why he is untradeable, we most likely would get a equal or better value in the comp pick if we cant reach a LONG TERM deal with him and he walks in FA.

Hahahahaha that's absolutely false.

I would think a third would be likely. Wouldn't trade him for that though.

Wow that is some info only.....................a 12 year old kid could have. Hahahaha come on now.

you mean at worst a #2 WR ?? I agree he is probably the very best #2 WR in the NFL, hopefully White is a #1.

Hey I don't want him traded either, but what you were saying was incorrect.

How when not one single person that isn't in R.Pace's circle would know if they're even trying to trade him?

Why it makes sense to trade for him now as opposed to waiting for him to potentially (but probably not) become a ufa.

1)Control. - Likely (but not always) a verbal deal would be in place. Plus, even if a new deal was not immediately reached, having him on the roster and showing a player you want him and are willing to trade for him gives you a leg up in negotiations (plus there is an exclusive negotiating window). When waiting, upcoming high profile ufas quite often get tagged or signed before they hit the market. Additionally, the market is more competitive for a ufa than the trade market. This would likely be the acquiring team's one shot.

2) Finance -Teams make money. Finance is all about manipulating the cap. Assuming the team has the cap space (most would)Trading for AJ now will allow a team to re-sign him early, giving him the contract he wants, while spreading out the cap hit over an additional year.

3) Talent - This is a win now league, and if you are in a front office on thin ice and believe you have a playoff shot.... You might not get that luxury of bidding next year.

As far as the price, who knows. The injuries have put that all in to question, but a team would absolutely want him if he can get back on the field. He is by no means untradeable. (I hope and believe that he stays)

We're tagged and traded.

It would require Jeffery to agree to an extension.

That the Bears would be looking for a 5th round pick for him. They'd be looking for a 1st round pick for him.

Agreed. Jeffery has the value of a 1st round pick in a trade.

Teams probably would not due it though without a signing first.

I think you're on to something. My cleaning lady Tina's old man Tito works on Fox's F150 and was rummaging through his glove box and found a napkin from Portillo's with some shit scribbled on it, and was pretty sure it said something to the effect of Alshon = 3/4. Read into it what you may, but that's some heavy shit fo sho.
