Sorry dude but the only TE in the NFL that competes with Ertz is Kelce. Both of those guys are players to worry about. It just so happens to be that its the players that would be working the middle of the field on us. A lot. We haven't faced any TEs that are elite like them.

Kittle is every bit as good as them. He is playing with backups to backups, and putting up huge numbers! Where do people come up with this stuff?

Can't lie I thought this was hilarious. Jeffery had to endure years of Lovie/Trestman/Fox. Can't blame him for being bitter about his time with the Bears. Hopefully this Sunday he'll be suffering yet another loss at Soldier Field.

No way that's the case unless talks had shown the fair market offer would be useless to put on paper. It amounts to spin even if Alshon feels that Pace didn't want him 'enough'. Alshon took a 1 year deal because no one offered him the multi year deal he wanted. His market value on a multi year deal while missing a bunch over the past 2 years, was maybe $11.5m. If your agent says 'don't bother' that's not the same as Pace not wanting him. He took a one year deal for a reason.

I like the current batch of receivers more. at least they're not emotional, ungrateful twats.

Because he doesn't have to put every 'opinion' out on social media. Even if he didn't like it in Chicago he could show some class and not trash the place that gave him his chance. One thing I always liked about Jeffrey was that he didn't act like a wide receiver DIVA like Chad, or Terrell, or Antonio. Now he sounds like the rest of them with this idiotic tweet.

I really wish these guys would write things down and think before making posts like that. It does nothing but make him look petty a. nd small. I always thought he was better than that. I understand him not wanting to stay here, his time here was less than great but he wouldn't be the highly paid athlete he is now if the Bears hadn't given him the opportunities that he has taken advantage of.

You do realize that it was not Jeffery who tweeted that out but two Eagles beat reporters who were asking questions? So he talked up the city he is currently playing for and downplayed the former city he played for to the current teams beat writers. This is literally no big deal outside of a lead up to a playoff game.

You also realize that Alshon Jeffery was a 2nd round pick not an UDFA...the Bears didn't take some shot on him where if they didn't draft him he wouldn't have landed on a team. So stop acting as if the Bears did some huge favor to Jeffery in "giving him his chance"

Did he have to minimize his time in Chicago, probably not. But this is nothing more than him playing the media game.

We also know that if the Bears play NO and Hicks were to say the same thing about his time in NO, you and the rest of the meatballs would eat that up. You are just salty because Jeffery said it about Chicago.

As good as Kittle was I still don't put him on the same level as Ertz and Kelce. Sorry. Its just my personal opinion. Either way that wasn't the intention of the posts. I just wanted to make sure people realize Ertz is the most dangerous against our defense followed by Agholor. I'm not particularly afraid of anyone they would line up outside. Only the guys that would be working the middle of the field.

Well, couple of things.

For one, I get feeling the way Jeffery did, but its kind of a ***** move to say so to the press. Comes off as whining.

Two, its about professionalism. I liked Jeffery but still thought he half-assed way too much. Again, kind of a ***** move to pout and let that affect your game.

Also, how long is an NFL career really? I mean people have to do much worse for much longer. I don't have much sympathy for him on this. And what about loyalty? At least through the length of the contract that changed life for you and your family. I would expect a guy to show some fight at least for the org paying him and the players that are depending on him, even if coaching and QBs are shit.

Still feel it is not a big deal, could he have been more diplomatic in his response...sure. But is it really surprising he will talk down about his former team when his current team is playing them in a playoff match?

We offered him more money, but he wanted to win right away, not build something with a team.
If we win it all this year, one year after the Eagles, he will regret it.

I find it funny that a ccs poster is calling a pro nfl wr fat.

When Jeffery was drafted there was a lot of questions supposedly about his weight and worth ethic. Also most everyone couldn't spell his name right.
So now that he started talkin Shit people are calling him FAT, Lazy, and JEFFRIES

Don't get the problem with what he said...just because a team drafted you doesn't mean you have to fall in love with the city.

I think it is more common to see a player who gets a second contract end up on a different team than to sign with the team that drafted them, so why wouldn't he love the second city he played for more than the first?

Having said that I can't wait to see him get 2 catches for 35 yards and no TD's. Fuller gonna lock him up and Mack, Roq Smitty, and NardFlo gonna have Foles running all game.
I think it's far more annoying that piles of meatballs piled on Pace for letting him go, he obviously didn't want to play here and wasn't worth the franchise tag.

Buhbye!

Agree that what he said is no big deal.

But it does leave a sour taste only because the previously existing fan perception of slacking, lack of grit, and lack of loyalty. Maybe those perceptions are nonsense, but they kind of ring true for me personally, after following his career in Chi. It all adds up to him being kind of a *****. But who knows really.
