JO at the midlevel for 3 (preferably 2 ) years doesnt sound that bad. i'd do it. JO backed up by taj at the pf, we'd need a serious upgrade at 2, but it's a stop gap.

i completely agree. i guess my argument was and has been, the free agents are staying put unless the bulls can get a significantly better roster that will appear more valuable than the money/roster their own teams will be able to offer.

I duno. Besides taxes and an amazing scenery, miami doesnt offer more than the bulls. We both have all star players, theirs might be better, but their supporting cast is significantly worse. With all their cash in two stars, a low level draft pick, no clear pg is miami really much better? Then again taxes would be give you some of the cash you left behind back.

If we don´t get Lebron, Wade, Bosh or Amare my number one priority would be Joe Johnson.

Bulls really need a SG who can shoot. Also Johnson is very tall for SG position, so he can post up nearly every guard. I would definitely take him over David Lee.

A lineup with

Rose, Hinrich, (Law)
Joe Johnson, (Murray)
Deng, James Johnson
Gibson, (Warrick)
Noah, Miller

doesn´t sound that bad.

You think we would be a contender with this lineup?

The other thing not mentioned is that the Knicks plan to bid up the market. A lot of guys who shouldn't get the max will be more likely offered it, especially if the big 3 resign. The knicks can't afford to blow the offseason after giving up two lotto picks to get the cap space. They got absolutely nothing if they can't land someone and with Miami they are going to be making max offers to guys like stat, boozer, jj and others so they don't strike out.

Anyone else catch the Bogut injury? He's looking like he'll be out the rest of the year.

That injury was nasty looking. Even with him out though they've got the wins on the board plus enough easy games to be safe.

That Bogut injury was absolutely horrid...I wouldn't wish that upon anyone. Hope he gets better from that. Ugh...nasty.

Bogut out gives the Bulls with Noah back a great chance to win against the Bucks tomorrow.

It made me sick to my stomach to watch that. I suffered a dislocated knee cap when I was running track & it was the worst pain I've ever felt in my entire life.

But on the brightside, we should be able to dominate on the boards tomorrow night & have a better chance of pulling out a victory.

I wasn't sure what was worse, that or Shaun Livingston's nasty injury a few years ago. Just thinking about those makes me queasy now. :X
