I'm on the Amari Cooper-bandwagon.

Of course, Kevin White is both bigger, stronger, faster and more explosive than Cooper, but Cooper is by no means weak in any of those areas. Plus I just think he's a superior route runner and better pure receiver.

And another thing I like about Cooper: he was a good player all three years in college, whereas Kevin White first exploded as a senior.

Amari Cooper's hips are unbelievable, and his feet are really good. His route running is so highly refined, and the scary part is, I think it's just his natural instinct/ability at work. Plus he's fast, strong, and athletic (although not elite in those categories). I'll take the better football player over the better athlete, please and thank you.

No comparison. Cooper is 6-1 with a vertical of 33 inches odds are against him unless he gets drafted by a team with a Hall of Fame QB. If your gonna be 6-1 or shorter you need to be atleast a explosive player with game breaking speed. He has good speed but he isnt explosive or have elite leaping ability or size to fight for these balls which he doesnt have. He can go play with Brady and use his good route running ability but you can find a reciever in the later rounds for that. Cooper is said to be a high pick meaning he should develop into a #1 receiver and odds are against him.

White production his first year at WV is normal for any top receiver. Its not like he played on a stacked team.

this is Antonio Brown 5'10"

Weaknesses
Lacks size. Not tall and does not possess enough bulk at this time. Needs to add strength to more effectively beat press coverage and battled for the ball in the air. Route running skills could use some refinement. Needs to become more consistent catching the ball in a crowd.

You don't need to be 6'3" to be successful...getting separation with quickness, not flat line speed....

that is Amari Cooper.

Ok it took Brown years to develop.

So we wait for a top 10 pick receiver to develop and with that said Brown is explosive. He returned kicks and punts.

His vertical is one of the worst in the group and at 6-1 that is not good.

His vertical jump was still 33". That's more than ok. Cooper isn't a "go up and get it WR" anyways. He ran in the low 4.4's and had the best shuttle and 3 cone drill. Cooper was great at the combine. He was dominant in college.

Its hard to get separation on the NFL level. If you dont have size you need explosive track speed like TY hilton.

Cooper has one of the lowest verticals in any draft so basically he has no choice put depend on his route running.

Cooper is quick as shit and creates separation for himself in a heartbeat....if he gets the NFL route tree he will cause issues for any secondary. He is a great complementary player to a team that has size in other positions. He can stretch the field, not because he can burn up the 40, but because he is football smart and can beat coverage through his knowledge of secondaries and his quickness.

Not to mention we already have that guy in Alshon Jeffery....

Tyler Lockett will prove to be the #1 receiver (plus returner) in this class over time. And I will be saying #calledit , two years from now.
